Dean looked like a carrier qualified Corsair approach and landing on the first sequence. His years of practice really showed. I'm please to see the progress with this beautiful model. Thanks Pete. Jim
cheers jim, yes he pulled of a lovely landing (they all were) but it is such an easy model to fly (deans words) so carf models designed her very well, and nigels paint scheme really brought her to life, deanos got a couple more warbirds coming along in the pipeline jim, youll like them i reckon !
That is an awesome plane. I don't say that often in RC, but that plane truly is. Be careful of over-revving it; not being in the cockpit and seeing the RPM gauge-maybe install a tachometer sensor on it for the radio telemetry? Also, consider putting an FPV camera w/ audio in that cockpit-I want to be in it! =-)
Super cool. I have a third scale stearman with a moki and it absolutely makes the plane. Perfect fit for this p47. Eventually I will build one. I am building a spitfire right now around this size and have a kolm inline engine for it. Super nice airplane and good flying mate. What brand is your airframe? Is it an arf or kit built? Edit: I see it’s a carf airframe sorry I’m a dummy didn’t read the title first lol

Outstanding build and a fabulous flight. Well done.
Many thanks craig
That is absolutely the most realistic flying I have ever seen in my life! Every R/C pilot should see this, and strive to emulate. Kudos!!
wow - many thanks,
I've watched this a dozen times, and I get goosebumps. I'm sure I'll watch it many more times.
thanks duane - check out her test flight here if you like - m.th-cam.com/video/fc8OxDOwUKA/w-d-xo.html

thanks drone, yes we are going to adjust the prop pitch to a coarser setting soon,
Extremely WOW!!
thanks wayne
Absolutely, great flight
Glad you enjoyed it
nice one dean, about time you started teaching your dad how to fly!!
lol
Fantastic flying. 👍
Thanks 👍

thanks alan - good luck with the spit
You taught the boy well Pete! 😜
cheers bob, only up to his B cert - then he just left me way behind 🙄
@tbobborap1 Well I guess that's the way things should be.
yep - the chain of life i guess
It sounds like a full size radial during the slow-mo scene!
thanks
Fantástico..👏🏼👏🏼
thank you
thank you
What would the speed of a model like this be? I know with dynamic soaring those gliders do about 550 mph!
good question braam, from experience id say not much more than 100+ mph on a fast level pass, maybe more in a dive,
@tbobborap1 It's still really nice looking.
thanks
the livery looks like a flying watermelon, don't get me wrong...I'd still take it if you gave it to me!
did you like the video ?
Looks pretty realistic to me, based upon the actual aircraft IMHO.
thanks duane
