Looking for some advice. I have a no fines poured concrete house. At the back it has very old render and pebble dash. We replaced windows and around bottom one a load of render just came away and they needed to fill in the gaps with a tonne of silcone to be able to finish the job. And now its happening around back door. Ita old and starting to catch at the bottom so all the banging and yanking it open is making render come off.
Ideally want ewi and new render but thats too pricey atm. The renderer i spoke to said cant be repaired and need take it all off and put new on and cant patch it up as will keep any damp thats got in. Dont think he tap tested it for how hollow it is. You think it can be patched up? Dont wanna be sucked into a more pricey job if dont need to something to stop water getting in
