so so so beautiful :( i think so many queer women can relate to falling in love with your friend and the feeling not being reciprocated. chappell, you are everything
Thank you for posting this. Such an emotional performance. I haven’t been able to see her live yet, but this makes me feel like I was there. I love this song and getting to hear her explanation of that 2nd verse. It made me cry. So beautiful.
I love every Chappell Roan song on Midwest Princess, because they're damn fun... even the break up songs have humour. But this isn't a Chappell Roan song to me, it seems like a Kayleigh song. And my sentimental heart loves it the most. It's just so pure and honest. Her emotions are so visceral and so deeply relatable. The tenderness breaks me every time I see a live performance of this song. Heart wrenching.
i’m a gay man falling in love with and getting confused by a man i presume is straight, his name also starts with A… i feel every word on this song. thank you chappell and the lesbian community for this masterpiece
i fell in love with my best friend, amelia in late middle school. we had spent almost everyday after school playing games, sitting around, playing at the park, she always had the funniest jokes, i was confused as to why i liked her more than any other boy, why i got such a rush when she hugged me. we had been friends since 3rd grade and i was afraid of ruining our friendship, but i told her anyways because i had hope, she ended up telling everyone in the school, i got bullied even by my friends, she started making fun of me, forcing me out of the locker room even though i wasn't looking, i ended up switching schools because of this, i still think of her all the time
I discovered Chappell Roan only 1 month ago (because I live under a rock) and I'm disappointed because she will perform in Paris on September 3rd and it's already sold out. So thank you to everyone who posts videos of her concerts.
Omg, I’m crying 💗 the way it hit her and the fans helped her when the feelings made it to hard for her to get the words out💗
I love how intimate this feels.
