in honor of this episode i dabbed on some (women's) dune parfum from a tiny old bottle my mom had for years and gave me - it's just so, so hauntingly beautiful. and so different to my nose at least, from anything i've ever smelled before or since. i find it interesting you described it in your intro as "one of the most gorgeous marine, green ambers ever" - but i can't think of any other fragrance being described as a "marine, green amber"! if you know of some, i'm all ears. i'd love to try other fragrances similar to it.
I haven't tried Dune, Jules, or even Kouros, but I am wearing KL Homme today. I love it. I got it a couple months ago. So eventually I'll have a Dune or Jules vintage. I do have a Kouros Sport from YSL directly. I haven't tried it yet. I got it when YSL was dumping everything just before the holiday season last year. Armani was doing the same thing. I kinda back up the truck. I'm not the biggest fan of some of the Armani's, but what they were dumping them for, I can always trade. I see the mention of Cologne Blanche. I don't know that one, but I was going through a box of decants, and I saw Eau Noir, the Vetiver, and Ambre Nuit. I won them, plus others from a TH-cam channel named Mr. Oz. Osswald was a wonderful perfume TH-camr. Very giving. He sent me 9 or 10 5 ml Privee. I followed suit, and gave away half of them to another TH-camr, mainly because he loved the house of Dior, and I don't think he would have had the chance to sample anything from the higher line. I love Mitzah. I only have a couple decants of it. It might be not everyone's favorite, but it is mine. It makes me smile. A sense of playful comfort, if that makes sense. Sorry about missing your live streams. Now onto checking your recent Chanel uploads. I'm interested in Le Lion. I haven't sampled it yet. I might go for the 75 ml blind. I also like the one they put out Boy. I think that's the name. I've sampled that.
Dune was the perfume of my teens in the 90’s and I bought my boyfriend at the time Fahrenheit. Quite, unteenagery perfumes now I think back. I bought a vintage bottle of Dune last week and it’s quite the time machine.
@@Persolaise will do - it wasn't until you described Dune, in another video that I remembered how much I'd loved it and went back to it. A very unusual perfume, even back in the 90's. Thanks for all your wonderful videos and reviews. I loved your interview with Salli Hughes, like PhD perfume chat :)
Oh' please, what a whale of good it would be to dig out some of dear souls among noses that are hard to find in mass media now. I would be happy listen to the author if Une Rose by F.Malle Edouard Flechier, as well as Pierre Bourdon, Jean Cerleo and Jean-Paul Bethouart. This deserves working a bit, even with a modest feedback at a start. But these would be precious interviews that are never forgotten as they enter the web.

Persolaise, I have worn Dune Pour Homme for years. I still love the fragrance all these years later. I loved your review, perfect as always.
Thank you so much, Ed. I think it's a charming piece of work.
Smells like the water of a forest lake on a summer morning......very good scent I love it......
Me too 😊
If Dune Pour Femme is the free sand, Dune Pour Homme is the plant anchoring the grains in place. 😊
Great way of putting it.
Thanks for watching.
Dune pour homme was my first parfume. When i was 13 years old my aunty gave it as a gift. Vintage dune is amazing.
Yes, they’re both special. Thanks for watching.

It really is stunning.
In some ways, Must De Cartier falls into that category.
I found some vintage Dune in my garage that belong(ed) to my wife. I adore it and suspect I will be reaching for it more than she will!
Oooh, treasure every drop.
Nice review ! I love this one, really unique, fresh and dry at the same time. Is the new version worth it?
I'm afraid I haven't tried the current formulation.
This was one of my first scents. Beautiful sandy
It’s a masterpiece.

Thanks very much for the detailed comment.
Loved DUNE. Wore for years!!
It’s gorgeous.
I really dislike most perfums for men but this one I really love and would wear myself.
Wonderful. Thanks for watching.
Awesome review
Thank you.

I totally agree.
Someone at a Dior corner in France just told me that it is missing for months because of a « missing ingredient », don’t know what it means 🤷♂️
Hmmm... interesting.
First I missed the live second ever time I try to watch this video something comes up. I am going to see the full video by the end of the day 🤨
Take your time :-)
dior higher is absolutely wonderful
I certainly always enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you sir .
Thanks for watching.
Heard on one of The perfume guy last video that Dune could be soon discontinued! :(
Oh no!

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean.
Thank you. Well fine and informative. MFK with Dune?
