A parkrun at the home of Pork Pies and Stilton, Iona splashed her way through some puddles round the beautiful Melton Mowbray Country Park before we headed for breakfast at the Sunny Skies Cafe. Lovely chat with the team running the cafe and a delicious breakfast. A day of post parkrun faff followed, exploring Melton Mowbray where we enjoyed everything from hearing a Ukulele band at the community market to learning about fox hunting and it's connection to the creation of the Pork Pie at the Melton Carnegie Museum. Of course, we couldn't leave Melton Mowbray without buying some pork pies from Ye Olde Pork Pie Shop!
