You forgot about the tension springs. and how did you get the caliper back on without compressing the piston. the piston would still be out from the old-worn pads and would not fit over the new pads.

Great job man just need to show the caliper being reset to accept the new pads

you can get better results from the break quiet by putting it on the piston edge / caliper instead of the back of the pad. these are the actual contact surfaces. also dont forget to also clean the caliper and pistons, not just the hanger. use some break cleaner for best results. lastly plan on removing bake reservoir cap and pressing in the piston for sufficient clearance upon install (new pads will be much thicker than used pads).

When taking the calibers off leave that TOP bolt in half way in and remove the bottom bolt completely and swivel the caliber UP insted of zip tie mess. That will save tou time and zip ties lol plus it allows u to c clamp the old pad to the caliber pump removing the pressure without destroying the brake lines or twisting them up. Most times when calibers are totally removed they end up twisting the lines

Tbh tho you didn’t even resurface the rotors which you should if you’re not replacing them. To each their own.

U are 100% correct the only right way to do it on a customer car! Most mechanics with their personal vehicles just do a pad slap and call it a day.

@@josebedolla9831 I’ve owned a shop 12 years and never ever ever did I do it that way. Or seen anyone do it that way. People asked for that to make cheaper labor but I always declined. Too many unnecessary lawsuits if you take shortcuts.

Do not use that silicone "stop squeek" on the slide pins or pad mounting surface it is glue. Use the proper grease at auto parts stores.

Use either silicone grease and/or brake grease for the caliper pins!

Good video fam… but don’t put that disc brake lube underneath the hardware your risking , as it heat up it’s going to sweat causing a noise… and Dnt apply on sliding pins you go risk it getting stuck causing it not to slide properly wearing the pads uneven.. other than that you did a amazing job …
