May I suggest when you test the noise cancelling next time you test by typing with clicky keyboards? That would be a great real world example. Great video!
Hi! Thanks for the review. I'm using this as a product owner, about 7-9 hours a day, constantly. It is comfortable, but it can push your ears a bit after 3-4 hours. Since it's sitting on your ear it's...yeah obvious. So guys, keep in mind, that it's light, but sitting On your ears. (I'm also using a huge gamer headset which is even more comfortable for 9 hours straight. BUT. it is heavier and gets a bit warm. So i would say, its a tie. My point is: This headset is not flawless, it has its limitations. Bass: If you activate noise cancellation, well you have it, maybe a bit too much (or not perfect quality) But for average bass-oriented music, it gets pretty good and enjoyable. So turn ANC ON for that :) Overall, IMO its extremely overpriced for its original price. But nowadays its much cheaper, about a fine buy. I've almost bought a corsair HS80 instead of it, but i dont want to lose BT connection to my phone parallel to the PC. but my general advice is to check around gamer headsets to make sure that this is the right choice. But if you can get it cheap, then get it. Stable, light, fine-sounding good headset, with a superb dongle (Most BT headsets stuck since the are using the integrated BT receiver....which is a horrible stuff in windows. So the dongle is a dealbreaker. :)
I have the Logitech H600, and it's a cheap headset but with terrible noise cancellation. I'm upgrading to this Plantronics Voyager Focus UC thanks to your review! I hope it does a much better job filtrating background noise.
Hi Tony, did you see the new Focus UC 2? Check it out here th-cam.com/video/NX-bEkgwatw/w-d-xo.html and for an additional discount use coupon TH-cam on our site.
That's a very tough question to answer as everyone has different feedback on that. Everyones comfort and preferences differ so it's a challenging one to answer. Both are very comfortable but if we had to pick I'd say the Focus is a 9/10 whereas the Evolve2 may be a 8/10. So, both are very comparable.
Hi Aljosa, yes this supports multi point Bluetooth up to two devices and includes the BT600 USB adapter out of the box to connect with your computer. From there you'll be able to seamlessy switch from mobile phone and computer.

Hello David, Many thanks for your review and your efforts I would like to know if in case we have very bad background noise or open office environment, does it block/avoid all noise to you as well other person over call as well?
Hi Swaroop, having dual speakers with ANC and a noise canceling microphone will help reduce background noise in a loud environment, but it won't block out 100% of noise.
What the heck happened the Plantronics Voyager 3200? That design (various models) won everyone's top 10 headsets for about a decade and now they don't have a single in ear headset that doesn't loop over your ear. It was the best choice for people who wear glasses.
Hi Chris, the range is rated up to 100 feet. The more barriers you go through, the less range you'l get. Hi, we have these in our office. the microphone picks up my colleagues voices very clearly, even when they are sitting 15 feet away. so much so that it makes conversations impossible. is it possible to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone so this doesn't happen? You want to make sure to use the Dongle and in your computer go to your start menu > device manager > sound and video game controllers > if you have a setting called “Intel smart sound” disable this, restart your computer and try it again
Hi - just got these and I was disappointed because I also want a headset that eliminates background noise around me for the person on the other end. Do you have any recommendations on WFH headsets that do both? ANC and mutes or minimizes background noise as well?
Hi Willa, the Orosound Tilde Pro would be good to consider. Keep in mind though, no noise canceling microphone is perfect and depending on the type of noise and levels will determine how well the microphone will reduce background noise or not. If the Tilde Pro doesn't work, there's nothing better we can think of at the current time th-cam.com/video/2y5tTOAzmUI/w-d-xo.html
Nice review and thanks for the same. Can you tell me how is this headset for MS Teams and Cisco WebEx. Also how is the battery life. Does it long for full day, let’s say, if you are having meeting on and off for 8 hours
Yes, this headset will work great with MS Teams and Cisco Webex. Also, the batteries rated up to 12 hours on a single charge so you're covered there too.
Hi Jonathan, the range is about 100 feet. If you need longer range we’d recommend you consider a DECT headset. Here’s a comparison for you m.th-cam.com/video/xPvAGdzK14s/w-d-xo.html
Download the Plantronics Hub software and update the headset would be really the only way to reset the headset. www.poly.com/us/en/support/downloads-apps/hub-desktop If that doesn't help fix the issue, then you'd want to request a warranty replacement as long as it's within warranty.
I too moved onto an 8220 but I have to say nothing matches the comfort of the Voyager Focus. Something about that headband makes it so much more cushy you don't notice the extra weight. If only I could answer calls from the Focus I would have never switched.

Hi Marcelo, unfortunately there's no way to adjust the mic noise cancellation. The microphone noise canceling technology is built into the microphone. I'd suggest giving it a try on MS Teams to see if it's better for you.
This headset gets charged overnight and about 4 hours into the use of the headset every day a double beep every 10 seconds or so happens and continues to happen even when hooked up to the charger. I read that meant it had a low charge, but would that mean there is something wrong with it? This is only the 6th day of using them, it supposed to keep a 12 hour charge.

I think Blackwire C5220 Headset - Stereo has much more better voice quality than this. I watched both of your sound test and think wired headset is better.
Sorry but you totally mixed up the headset ANC-function with the software‘s „background noise filter“!😂 Headset‘s ANC only suppresses the noise in your room IN YOUR HEADPHONE-SPEAKERS (=impacts ONLY what you as the speaker hear), while e.g. MicrosoftTeams‘ background noise filter modifies the audio signal for your partners of the call, so that they don‘t hear your background noise. So your „test“ will deliver exactly the same result whether you record your voice with or without having the ANC switched on/off👌
There may have been a misunderstanding. There's ANC which is in the speakers of the headset, but built into the microphone is noise cancellation to reduce background noise so callers hear you clearly. So, yes turning ANC on/off won't do anything in regards to the microphone, only the speakers.
