I have heard someone say that you can take the fiber optic and melting the end so that forms a buld or a bubble. Have you tried this in the past and does it tend to work?

Why not make neon lights as well?
Yes that is possible but neon lights often have sharp bends and that could be a problem with fibre optic cable. But try it anyway.
Yeah I’d say the tiny bends you’d have to do at that scale would kill the effectiveness of the fibers.
