    Terrific film! You should visit Barbers Motorsport Museum in Birmingham, Alabama. It is the greatest display of motorcycle history on earth and they have created some very interesting installation displays highlighting board racing, roadracing, drag racing, dirt track and motocross. It’s truly a Mecca for motorcycle enthusiast. As a wonderful bonus they also have a remarkable collection of Lotus cars; the entire facility I’d first class and breathtaking, there isn’t another race course or facility like it on earth.

    I’m raised and born in the city where the first 4stroke internal combustion engine (liquid pressurized) was successfully invented and BUILT- Cologne, Germany.
    And there is one thing I’d like to add in this Video. You mentioned Maybach and Daimler as inventors of the first motorcycle which is fine to me but not the person behind the invention more or less, Nikolaus August OTTO, most of today’s 4stroke engines are referred to as OTTO cycle engines.
    When he started trying to built engines he failed a lot and stopped several experiments due to lack of money. Only thing Daimler and Maybach did was to help him with the penny problem. Daimler refused to pay OTTO money for his patented invention and hired lawyers, resulting in Nicolaus Otto losing some of his patents.
    I believe that that the success of Daimler AG came from that move, but it’s sad the world forgot about Otto.
    But I love anything else about your documentary, very nice as always ✌🏻

    ====
    Learned some interesting stuff from this -
    - the first motorcycle in 1885, and that the Isle of Man had car races before the motorcycle races. Also I didn't know it started as soon as 1907.
    Also didn't know the first non pedals motorcycle was out in 1915.

    I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this video. But it seems your channel keeps switching on what it’s tryna be and I don’t mind but it affects how many views you get and how much it grows.

    • @MikeonBikes
      @MikeonBikes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Appreciate the feedback, my videos are always about motorcycles in some way form or fashion. I started the channel with a pure focus on riding technique, but I do not want to do videos that are only about that. That is why I'm making one video about it to cover everything that I think is relevant to the subject.
      My most popular videos to date are on GP racing, so if my only goal was to expand I could switch to just cover MotoGP. But that wouldn't be much fun. I don't feel like trying to hit a niche just to grow the channel.
      I'm going to continue to do videos about motorcycles generally, and I hope they match what people want to see.

    The MURDER-DROME!!! sounds so... so ... murderous. But then again, being that one of the racers with my namesake took out a bunch of spectators, and himself... the name tends to fit the bill. 100mph on a bicycle with an engine bolted to it, ridden on a wooden high embankment track soaked in oil, with nails and splinters poking out of it... can you imagine?
