This one sounds good. Two things I remember about mine which I owned back in 1972. When you stopped at traffic lights the engine was so quiet and smooth that you were never sure if it had stalled. The second thing I remember is that, even back then when most cars were slow, it was painfully slow compared to all the other traffic.
Lovely motor. I had one several years ago after a love affair with Triumph GT6s and now have a low mileage Jag S Type but still recall with fondness Old Rosie.
very very nice a real gem have to ask do you run on unleaded may seem a daft question but when this car was on the read you had 4 star 2 star when i passed my test we still had leaded petrol yes i really am that old l o l great video really nice to see this car running take care al 👍👍👍😀
thanks for the comment and it runs on normal unleaded petrol but we have to put a special adative in the tank so it runs just fine . it's a real gem tho :)
Hi, If you don't drive the car hard you'll be fine, if you do a lot of motorway miles or tow a caravan you could benefit from one of the additives like Valve master or similar. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply I've only just found your question.
LNER 377 The examiner was more interested in the car than my driving, a definite bonus. Also the chrome strip on the bonnet lined up with the kerb for parking which was a help. Five point turn, not three although I knew three was just possible

Yes, slow. It was like sipping wine compared to the proletariat guzzling their pints around you!
yeah i know what you mean the engine is so quite on idle and yeah pretty slow but we get 60 out of the old girl no problem

I think the water pump has seen better days on that one.

P4's except the 80 have hardened Exhaust valve seats from the factory so no need for an additive
@@Dazsvintagestuff I've just bought an 80 and I'm running it on super unleaded. Should I be putting anything else in it?

I took my test in one of those, five turns of the steering wheel lock to lock if I remember correctly
oh really good memorys then . must say an excellent car to learn in !

@@SuperHawksworth oh brilliant and I bet the lack of power steering made things harder with a 3 point turn !
That car is sweet as a nut!
thanks Matthew!
are parts difficult to find?
not particularly but I suppose it depends on the part you need
