I have a recommendation for a very dark comedy/comedy drama, but I think you might appreciate it. It’s called Dr Strangelove: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964). It’s about a general who goes crazy and tries to start a nuclear war ‘without permission’. Sounds like a real laugh, right? 😂 But there are a few real laugh out loud moments. It’s a Stanley Kubrick movie with some great performances from Peter Sellers (who plays multiple roles very differently!). Just a suggestion!

But he's also had occasion to put in a dramatic performance in a movie called _Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind_ which is _also_ really good. He's an actor with _range._
You need to react to Dumb and Dumber. That's one of Jim's best comedic roles. Jeff Daniels is also in that movie and does a terrific job as well. Truman is one of his best dramatic roles. Love your reaction in this one, but of course I always do. Can't wait for your Dumb and Dumber movie reaction.

Since we are going down the 90's comedy rabbit hole, you might as well watch the outrageous film "There's Something About Mary." Be sure to watch the THEATRICAL CUT because this is one of those times when extended scenes in the longer home video cut actually make a funny movie unfunny. It stretches out the jokes too much and the timing is off. Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz star.

It's a slightly comedic take on Sherlock Holmes. Bill Pullman (the President in "Independence Day") plays a quirky, genius private eye with very few social skills and Stiller plays his long suffering assistant (sort of Dr. Watson). There are twists and turns as they hunt for a killer, as well as a little romance and a few laughs sprinkled in. An enjoyable romp.

😄👍 If you want to watch some laugh-out-loud comedies from the 1980s, three that I cannot recommend highly enough are "Real Genius" (1985), "Ruthless People" (1986) and "Young Doctors In Love" (1982). I actually find it shocking how so few TH-cam reactors have caught on to any of them yet.
Could you imagine if every guy couldn't lie for 24 hours? We would be screwed. That elevator scene is more truth than anyone wants to admit. I would have entertainment now over watching The White Knight guys the ones when a guy does into the comment section and tells a woman she's hot and then they come along and go how dare you say that. He IS very good at some things, especially when it comes to over the top things that would make you think "cartoon".. so.. f.ex.. The Grinch.. or. "The Mask".. I always hated this film for the woman who strings along the guy but really wants Jim Carey back. She's awful
