Hey Guys, glad to finally check out an early marvel project! Let us know your thoughts on this film. Hope you guys enjoy our reaction! For those who can't wait we already have *FANTASTIC FOUR RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER* up on our Patreon: www.patreon.com/ThePerfectMix
Here's a quick breakdown: their powers aren't like mutants they're born with but they got their power from an accident like a generic superhero origin story. They consider not a team but a family. if you've seen the multiverse of madness they had a variant of Reed played by John kransinski. Chris Evans was casted as captain America years later after cancelation of this franchise. For years and years there was no connection in these characters or MCU but now that Disney bought marvel and also bought 20th century fox back the explanation is they came up with is there's is human torch who happens to look like Chris Evans, Micheal b Jordan, Joseph Quin they're just different variants of same character from different timelines and universes and same can be said for Rdj's victor von doom and lastly These characters aren't like the Incredibles or the boys universe supes but those franchise are inspired by these characters and the boys are basically a parody of classic super hero stories
You Guys should watch Ghost rider and all of the the marvel movies Back from the 90s to the 2000s (Beside spider man because yall already watched it ) but I think both of you would enjoy it a lot to see the marvel movies before the MCU came along. Here's a list of old marvel movies Ghost rider (2007) Daredevil (2003) Elektra (2005)(takes place after Daredevil) Blade Trilogy( Blade 1998 , Blade 2 2002, Blade trinity 2004) The Punisher (2004) Punisher: War Zone(2008)(not connected with the 2004 different story) Hulk (2003) Also just for fun both are not marvel but Dark horse comics spawn (1997) Hellboy(2004) Hellboy II: The Golden Army(2008) I think you guys would enjoy all of them and hope you guys get to them soon.
Fun fact: Ben's wife, Deb, is also the Crimson Countess in The Boys. And yeah, The Boys definitely got a lot of their inspiration from comic characters like the Fantastic Four and the XMen
It's funny about Chris Evans being Johnny Storm and Steve Rogers. After the second Fantastic Four didn't do so well box office wise, Chris actually didn't want to do another superhero movie. The running gag with the Avengers cast was "We brought Chris back kicking and screaming." And another fun fact, Jessica Alba met her husband, Cash Warren, while making this movie. He was the director's assistant.
The Fantastic Four kick-started the Marvel Age of Comics with their debut in Fantastic Four #1 (1961), written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Jack Kirby. Unlike the superhero teams that came before them, the Fantastic Four brought a fresh dynamic to the genre. Their stories revolved around family bonds, scientific exploration, and the thrill of space discovery, echoing the real-world fascination with the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. At the heart of the team was Reed Richards, a visionary scientist obsessed with pushing the limits of space travel. Despite working closely with the government on a cutting-edge spacecraft, his project lost its funding just before completion. Desperate to prove his work, Reed, along with Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, took matters into their own hands, launching an unauthorized flight. During the journey, they were bombarded by cosmic radiation, forever altering their bodies and granting them incredible powers. Unlike most superheroes who concealed their identities, the Fantastic Four openly embraced their roles as public figures. They became icons, not just as superheroes, but as celebrity scientists and innovators, with the Baxter Building serving as both their home and base of operations. Stan Lee’s goal wasn’t to mimic DC’s Justice League, Two years later The Avengers would fill this role. Instead he aimed to create something different. A family of heroes who lived in the public eye, complete with their flaws and challenges. This approach set the Fantastic Four apart, making them key figures in shaping the Marvel Universe, where personal struggles and larger-than-life adventures could coexist. Very much a family drama set to the backdrop of Sci Fi adventures. Following the debut of the Fantastic Four, Marvel introduced many of the now iconic Marvel characters such as Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp, and more. In 1963, both the X-Men and Avengers joined the Marvel line-up. But it all started with the Fantastic Four, who even appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #1 (1962), where Peter Parker visits the team hoping to join, mistakenly thinking they were paid. Since then, Spider-Man has remained close friends with the Fantastic Four, especially with Johnny Storm, and has even been a member of the team on several occasions. In a perfect world, the Fantastic Four would have been the starting point of the MCU if Marvel had retained all the movie rights. However, we’re finally getting Fantastic Four: First Steps in 2025, which will officially introduce the team into the MCU.
Also Yes, Doctor Doom exists beyond the Fantastic Four as a major villain within the greater Marvel Universe. While he started as an F4 villain and still has strong ties to those characters, his actions often have a much wider impact, drawing in the Avengers, X-Men, and other heroes and teams.
Love this comment 🙏 I've always loved the F4 and The X-Men and I've been reading a lot of their comics again lately. Hopefully the new MCU movie is great.
It's funny because y'all said Doom reminded you of Vader when it's been said that Vader took inspiration from Doom. The same with Violet ( Incredibles ) and The Invisible Girl ( Woman ) .
So what Doctor Victor Von Doom actually was a ruler of a small country and a genius scientist and high level mage who at one point got trapped in the past medievil times and just lived his way to the present day learning magic and combat all the way. He does have A personal grudge with reed but he can be an avengers level threat and even if you think you killed him it was probably a doombot which is a bot he makes to fight so he can learn an enemies weakness and not die
This is the best example of early/mid 2000’s comic book movies where they were still trying to find their stride and be taken seriously and be profitable
So here's a random fun fact about the movie industry. That's elevator that they use in the Baxter building it's probably one of the most famous elevators to be seen in most movies and even television shows.
Fun fact but their powers are actually kinda based on the four elements. Johnny has fire obviously, Ben is earth (rock skin), Sue is air (invisible) and Reed is water (stretching/fluidity)
I don't care what anyone says this is my favorite iteration of the f4 I grew up on these movies alongside Sam raimi spiderman I can't wait for the mcu f4 they are one of my favorite teams
fun fact the fantastic 4 is they are the first marvel family and then it was the avengers. Reeds super hero name is Mr. fantastic , Sue is invisible women , Johnny is the human torch and Ben is the thing. also if you did not pick it up Latveria is the place where Victor Von Doom is born and can not wait to see the mcu version of the fantastic 4 Vince and Shoshana.
This version and the sequel is awesome! I hated 2015's version though! And it's interesting to see you two know Chris Evans as Captain America first than as Human Torch. But they did the same with Halle Berry because she played Storm in the Marvel X-Men movies and than in a DC movie as Catwoman in Catwoman.
On the Marvel-Verse there are different type of powers that manifest. You have mutants, like X-Men that are born with an X-Gene that activates. You Mutates such as The Fantastic 4 and Dardevil that develop their powers from an outside force. Such as a meteor or toxic chemical. You have Inhumans, which develop powers from a terrigen mist and derived from celestials. Then the geniuses like Tony Stark and aliens/God's and cosmic beings. The Thor's, Eternals, etc etc etc.
The Reason that Chris Evans can play both Johnny Storm the Human Torch and Steve Rogers Captain America is because the Fantastic Four and the Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer are 2005 and 2007 Respectively and Captain America The First Avenger is 2011 so it wasn't the Same Time
I’ve gotta imagine that Chris evens has a love of comic books/graphic novels. He was of course captain America as well as Johnny storm. He was also in ‘Scott pilgrim vs the world’ and ‘the losers’. And those are just the ones I know of.
This is the greatest superhero team ever especially in the comics (writers: John Byrne, Mark Waid, Jonathan Hickman, Ryan North) and their villains (Dr. Doom, Galactus, Super Skrull, Puppet Master, The Molecule Man, Diablo, The Mad Thinker, The Awesome Android, Terax, The Red Ghost, The Super Apes, & Etc). This movie did a good job with the origin (instead being in a Space Shuttle, they're on a space station). Can't wait for The MCU's Fantastic Four First Steps (2025)!
You guys actually saw Reed (Mr Fantastic) before this movie. He was played by John Krasinski in Dr Strange 2. He was part of the Illuminati, turned to spaghetti by Wanda.
Since y'all have watched some of the original Marvel movies prior to the MCU y'all might as well do the original Hulk movie from 2003 next. It's better than the MCU Hulk in my opinion
#theperfectmixx “On an outer space adventure, They got hit by cosmic rays. And the four were changed forever, In some most fantastic ways. No need to fear, they’re here, Just call the four! Fantastic Four! Johnny: Don’t need no more! Reed: It’s ungrammatical! Reed Richards is elastic, Sue can fad from site. Johnny is the Human Torch, The Thing just loves to fight. Call the four! Fantastic Four! Fantastic Four!”
This is before Disney got it's hands on Marvel. This one and the 2nd are fun. I hate that they then chose to remake them changing cast and other stuff.
U know how long I've been waiting for this? Btw u guys already met Reed Richards in Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. And Doctor Doom is going to be the main villain for Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars. The Fantastic Four: First Steps starring Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm) releases july 2025 as a part of the MCU
Fact: some of the marvel movies at the time wasnt owned by disney at this time Fox and sony we're separate from Disney so ur gonna see the same cast members with different roles for example Michael b jordan played human torch in another fantastic four by fox then ended up in black panther later on
40:55 yk what you got a point, mutants usually could just be regular but mutuated. Now a days marvel heroes have 3-6 powers each. They be having super strength, flight, super speed, and THEN somesort of mutant strength/power.
You may have realized this already since I found out you have reacted to the most recent MCU movie already, but just in case. So Fantastic Four basically is the same situation as X-Men. They were separate from the Avengers franchise, brought in by Fox for movies. They were not included when Disney brought the Avengers franchise UNTIL Fox was bought in 2019, hence why now some of those characters have been used in MCU projects since.
You should check out the Roger Corman's Fantastic Four film from 1994. It is free on TH-cam because the film was never officially released. It was made so the studio could keep the film rights and not go back to Marvel.
Amusingly, I'm about to finish a watch along stream of the existing Fantastic Four films on my channel! This film has been by far the best FF movie out of the three I've already watched (2005, 2007, and the god-awful 2015 films). I feel like they really nailed the basic personalities and interpersonal dynamics of the FF. Chris Evans and Jessica Alba were the most fun to watch in their roles, but Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis did a good job being likeable (enough, in Reed's case), and a lot of the banter and bickering between everyone was very amusing. They really remixed Dr. Doom's origin in a way I wasn't a huge fan of, and I had a hard time taking him very seriously. Once he got in costume though, he was at least visually in the (very big) ballpark. This one was flawed, but still very enjoyable. I'm eager to watch the Roger Corman movie tonight, as it looks gloriously schlocky. 🙃
Yeah so when Disney bought Fox in 2019 they got the rights back to Fantastic Four and now they're making an MCU Fantastic Four movie called *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* and it's coming out next July
This holds a special place in my heart because it introduced me to the Fantastic Four as the first Marvel superhero team I ever learnt about and it made me a massive fan of the Fantastic Four comics as a whole. Even though this film isn't perfect and pretty campy I will say the F4 cast themselves is incredibly good and it is perhaps the best Fantastic Four movie we've gotten, that isn't The Incredibles. They honestly nailed the wholesome/fun family vibes of the Fantastic Four in the comics and the cast have great chemistry with each other that really sell it. The Fantastic Four was also the comic book team that helped Marvel Comics Publishing get out of bankruptcy back in 1961, and thanks to both Stan Lee and Jack Kirby both coming up with the idea of the Fantastic Four as a true family of superheroes whoay argue, squabble and irritate each other but still love eachother. Thus sales increased enough for Marvel to create countless other characters we love, so with the Fantastic Four Marvel Comics may have not even exist? Btw Doctor Doom is infamous for being Marvel's Greatest Villain, and even though they changed him in this movie at the time to be a businessman, whereasbin the comics hes the ruler of his own country and the 2nd most intelligent scientific genius (Reed Richards is the first) and a master of magic. The dude is insanely OP and such a complex character that we'll see in the MCU in the next Avengers movie played by Robert Downey Jr himself, hopefully rhey can get Doom right for once in live action.
also I cant wait to see Robert Downey JR play victor von doom and your right Vince his version of doom is going to be a threat to not just the fantastic 4 but to everyone.
A ton of similarities between this and The Incredibles, obviously you figured out that Sue Storm has nearly the exact same powers as Violet, but also Reed Richard’s has the exact same powers as Elastagirl. Now Johnny is different because he could be compared to Dash, seeing that they have a similar demeanor, but different powers. Although, always being the best or the fastest seems to be a trait they also both have.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army(2008)
I think you guys would enjoy all of them and hope you guys get to them soon.
He was Johnny before Captain America y’all 😂😂😂
Fun Fact: They are Marvel's First Family 👪. Also Stan Lee's favorite supervillian is Doctor Doom.
Wasn’t X-men Marvel’s first family?
Absolutely not.
@@abelyenenehxmen was 1963 but FF first appeared back in 1961
And the Silver Surfer is Stan's favorite Marvel character
@@BaithNa Really? I thought his favorite superhero is Spider-Man.

My favorite member of this team is the Thing. Not only is he badass, but he gave up being normal to help his friends and learned to accept what he is
It’s funny y’all keep saying the Fantastic 4 are like someone else when they literally came way before 😂😂
Say what you want to say, I love the way Jessica Alba played Susan Storm in these movies. She was beautiful, intelligent, sassy and strong.
It's a shame she's the opposite of all those attributes except the beauty.

You know what doctor Doom and the Green Goblin have in common?
"I've started this company, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICE"🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

well now he is
Well he is now.
Damn really? Guess he finally got the role
Why didn’t he get the role then?
Seeing Stan Lee in all these movies is legitimately heartwarming. It makes so many people so happy.
Fun fact but their powers are actually kinda based on the four elements. Johnny has fire obviously, Ben is earth (rock skin), Sue is air (invisible) and Reed is water (stretching/fluidity)
And Victor had the 5th element: Metal.

I love this cast for Doom. They didn't really do him justice in this movie, but Julian McMahon portrayed Victor so great imo.
really the best Victor Van Doom we ever had and probably we ever will have

3:13 it seems like he genuinely was more intrigued by the suit’s material and not so much Sue though I can’t quite tell how it’s cut
Yeah, I watched this movie so many times. You’re right , he was for sure more intrigued by the suit lol.
@@jay-k-hey6633 yeah I thought so. Like the point was he was always more into his work than her
Ibalways felt Sue could have made a force field around the missile itself, so when it exploded, the explosion would be contained inside the field.

another fun fact the hulk and the thing actually fought and are friends Vince and Shoshana.
The incredibles were an homage to the fantastic 4
The Reason that Chris Evans can play both Johnny Storm the Human Torch and Steve Rogers Captain America is because the Fantastic Four and the Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer are 2005 and 2007 Respectively and Captain America The First Avenger is 2011 so it wasn't the Same Time

The Next One is good too, Guys!!
The silver surfer such an incredible character omg
The Thing used to fight the Hulk in the comics.
Mr. Fantastic/ Reed was also in Multiverse of Madness played by John Krasinski

It's hilarious that these kiddos are comparing Fantastic Four to a superhero parody show that came out many decades after it.
Kids these days eh
You guys actually saw Reed (Mr Fantastic) before this movie.
He was played by John Krasinski in Dr Strange 2.
He was part of the Illuminati, turned to spaghetti by Wanda.
"Captain on the bridge" the joke became even funnier, and it continues in Deadpool & Wolverine.
You guys should check out the Blade trilogy and Daredevil movie if you can.
Love you guys. Thanks for being a bright light in a dark day
Was waiting for this on 💯
One*
yall should watch the 2003 hulk movie and rest of the old marvel movies
I like you guys the fact that you watching movies looks so nice ❤😊
Oh, I’m glad you guys watch this I hope you see the sequel
Y'all have got to do a reaction to Denzel Washington's movie Book of Eli
I absolutely love the Fantastic 4. This first one especially is my favourite in the duology. God Bless Jessica Alba❤.

One of my first Marvel films EVER. Childhood come back to me pleeeeeaaassse

Definitely Gotta check out Ghost Rider. One of my favorite marvel characters
Nice. A great, underappreciated movie. Given this, you absolutely have to watch Ghost Rider...
Can’t wait for y’all to react to rise of the silver surfer
40:13 is that Hamish Linklater?! Dang never noticed that.
awww i love this movieee
That FF always hits hard

Its better than fan 4 stic at least
Fan4stic is my favorite🤪
Fantastique Four Reboot Really Crazy 😮😮😮😮😮😮 Galactus , Silver Surfer and Dr Doom, more Coming
Fantastique Four Powers Like Éléments : Fire / Johnny , Water/ Mr Fantastique , Earth/ Thing , Sky / Invisible Woman , She have 3 Powers
The Perfect Mix Reacts to "Predestination". Only one real channel has reacted to this movie and it is so insane.
I wonder what the mcu would be like if he still appeared in the movies rest in peace you legend ❤❤
One of my favorite marvel films
This not Captain America, but Chris Evans
Fire movie choice 🔥💯can’t wait to react to this
Goated movie
Awesome superhero movie
These Fantastic 4 were the original comic group, way before the avengers
Fun Fact: Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds are the only ones to play two separate heroes from Marvel
There's a new fantastic four movie coming out next year
also I cant wait to see Robert Downey JR play victor von doom and your right Vince his version of doom is going to be a threat to not just the fantastic 4 but to everyone.
The MCU VERSION OF F4 IS FINISHING UP FILMING NOW... COMES OUT NEXT SUMMER!!
Much of the Incredibles was an homage to the Fantastic Four and the early Marvel universe
Dr Doom in this film was basically 0.02% of Marvel Comics Dr Doom
Awesome the first family
