Hola! I didn't see a video posted yesterday and I thought you might not have one this week, but I saw it this morning (Sunday). I almost forgot to watch it tonight, but remembered at the last moment. 🙂 I do love the beach towns, and this one is beautiful.
Lots of people still at the beach late in the afternoon. I see that it's still 'beach weather' there. Unfortunately, the beach weather here is pretty much over. I noticed at 2:37 the white building on the left had beautiful arched balconies (i think). It reminded me of ... my own apartment building. 😄I have a balcony with an arch like that. I think it's supposed to reflect a Mediterranean style, although the building is brick. I also notice the domes atop the buildings (at 10:57), which reminds me of the Middle East. Is that what is meant by the Moorish style? I really like the architecture here, with the white buildings.
Very nice paseo too. I love how the walkways go down to the beach, and the stone wall is very nice. At 4:35 as you were going down the walkway to the beach, 😅 the kid is ... well, when you gotta go, you gotta go! 😂 I love how the mountains rise up in the back of the town!
At 7:45, the Parque Comercial Mojacar is beautiful. I love that style of building. I seemed to notice lots of English signs, like the Hotel Continental at 14:00. Must be lots of English tourists in this town? At 21:35 I noticed all the people slowly walking back from the beach to their hotels after the day at the beach. Ah, nice! Looked like a nice hotel up there too. 🙂 The paseo at 22:11 was also beautiful, and of course, lots of benches. 🇪🇸 And then, another nice paseo at 28:49 with more benches to relax and look out to sea. I like it! 😄
Take care, and have a great week!

Hola! I'm glad to read you again. You are right, although this tour was filmed a few weeks ago, it is still beach weather here on the Costa Blanca. In my opinion, the weather throughout September (except for the occasional rainy day) has been better than in August, not as excessively hot. Now, entering October, the temperatures have dropped a bit more but the days are still pleasant.
If your apartment is similar to that one with arched balconies then you have a beautiful apartment. And although I think you are referring to your current apartment in Boston, out of curiosity, did the buildings in Santa Barbara also have a similar architectural design to those shown in this tour? From what you have said on other occasions, I have the feeling that Santa Barbara must be very similar to the beach area of Mojacar. Although one of the things I miss here and that you have in your coastal towns are those beautiful wooden piers (very few towns in Spain have such piers). By the way, one of my first tours on my channel was to the old town of Mojacar, in case you haven't seen it yet and are curious.
Regarding the domes on these apartment buildings, I couldn't tell you for sure if it's due to Arabic influence or even an influence from previous cultures, since they are often seen in many Mediterranean countries such as Greece where they are also very common.
You're right, I hadn't noticed that child "watering" the plants 😆 It's one of the funny things that usually happen when I film a tour, there's always some curious situation that I didn't expect.
I agree with you, I find these types of open-air shopping centers more interesting than indoor shopping centers, and this one has a Mediterranean design that I liked. That's why I decided to start the bike tour there.
Yes, there are many English tourists in this region, although also from other parts of Europe such as Germans, Dutch or French, but it is the English language that is generally used to communicate with all of them.
Welcome to the country of benches! 😄🇪🇦 As you have also seen on this tour, paseos are full of benches. I am beginning to suspect that there is some secret pact between the bench manufacturers and the town hall officials in this country 😆
As always, thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to leave me a comment.
Nos vemos! Take care. I hope you have a great week too!

@@WalkingSpain The architecture in SB is very much like Mojacar. It was always described as Mediterranean, and I wasn't quite sure what that was until I moved there. I always just thought of it as Spanish. Then when I started watching your videos, so much of it reminded me of SB. (I know, I say that often. 🙂) One thing SB has which isn't very Mediterranean is a big, wooden pier that you can drive or walk out on with restaurants and shops. And you get a great view of the foothills of the city and the mountains that rise up behind it.
I might check out the early video of Mojacar. I think I started watching your channel when you first started, so it might be interesting to see if I remember that video, or if I started watching after that one.

@@bostonwalkdrive7763 Thanks for clearing up my doubt! From what you have said on other occasions and also from pictures I have seen of the town, I think that south of Spain (Andalusia) is the most similar to Santa Barbara and the historic towns on the California coast. I am looking forward to visiting that part of the United States and seeing it with my own eyes... In the meantime, I will continue filming tours along the spanish coast so that you can find more similarities 😉👍
