I love how you can identify what kind of playing style you stick to by how much you recognize a given set of quotes. Apparently, I'm very prone to giving double rations, throwing people on the rack, and taxing my peasants' pants off. Can't seem to get their boots, though.
0:41 work? Dont be silly. And that made me rage so i destroyed all good factors and I surrounded the whole castle with gallows. And do you know what? he said "work, work, work, thats my new motto" xD
Don't ever have positive 5 fear factors unless you want to fight Since the buff from positive 5 fear factor is really op but other than that use negative 5 fear factor since it buffs your workers efficiency by 50 but it lowers your troops damage
I do extra or double rations, no fear factor or possibly +5 blocked off so they don’t waste time, 100% Ale coverage, sometimes a church, and I see what that gives me and I tax accordingly
@@heydarial fear factor reduces troop quality and happiness increases it, that's the tiny green or red squares above their healthbars. that's why a happy castle will still defeat a spooky one even with the production penalty
The amount of sound bytes in this game is amazing. Without this you'd hear new ones even years after playing lol. Hell I've never even seen some of these portraits. Who is 2nd row 2nd column?
You mean the guy who looks like a wizard? That's the healer from the apothecary. He was the most useless peasant from the game but some guys who mod SHC made him useful at last, almost 20 years later:P
I can't remember if it happens in Crusader, but it's what peasants will say if you click them when you get the orchard/wheat/hops disease event. I think they say "something wrong with the crops" in all of them.
The trees have lost their tress only happens if most of trees die by a drought event(yes this event is not even on the economic campain, but u can find on the missions)

2:48 That's a female peasant, I think.
Nah, you can hear the female equivalent line at 3:17 on the female peasant video. Just a very tenor male here.
Pretty sure there's one that goes "please sire, I have a family to support" when you set tax to max
That one is said by the scribe.

how have i never heard most of these even after hundreds of hours in this game? I must not check on my peasants enough :D
I usually goes for -5 fear factor with giving bribe, more productive and i can easily pay them off, the best combination.
John Dilton use inns instead of bribes. Much cheaper, and the max bonus is +8

I usually go for Crueler than Cruel Taxes and neutral fear factor. You spend no money investing in fear factor and end up with loads
