The tone capabilities it has with the Cab Sim is massive cool. I like the notices articulation in tones and how responsive it is to even Josh’s massive attack.
I love how people will be random as hell… us-“this is a headphone amp and has cab simulation capabilities…” dork trolls on the web “yea but I can do the same thing with my tc electronics sub n up ran through a tin can powered by 4 D batteries but nice video I guess…” 😂😂😂 Cool. Thanks.
I have a Microtubes X Ultra, and I was surprised to find out the cab sim is the feature I use the most. I can swap out between more transparent, vintage or modern bright cab sounds depending on the gig I'm doing.
I love mine. Its always on my pedalboard to us for practice at home, as my bass interface for recording, which it can do processed and raw at the same time, while using the headphone out for monitoring. That even works even when im not at home with my Ipad. I also go xlr out FOH or in the Bandroom to the PA. Works and sounds great, and I don't even use the amp sim which gives more interesting tone option which I did not really explore.
i like this. most players dont want to use effects. ,but pitch shifting. (eq). to get that killer tone. is allowed. (me) boss eq 200. , but this is pretty cool. 👍👍👍👍👍
my ampeg amp has effects loop right before the Direct out. Can I use it in the loop the then direct out XLR to board? that way I have amp as preamp and this as speaker and I can switch my actual speaker off by plugging headphones in. ????
I wouldn't be unhappy if it was a gift, but so far I couldn't justify paying $$$ for this one. Cabsim (or equivalent like an LPF), EQ, headphone amp, DI capabilities are almost always present on my preamp-of-the-day when doing live work. Mic and poweramp sim won't be available unless I have the Two Notes CAB M with me, but those are nigh impossible to hear live anyway. For desktop work, the DAW is more powerful and easier to use for all of this.
I don’t disagree but some of the other gear you listed individually is more expensive. This is pretty comprehensive for its price point and still gives you all the options in one chassis.

Thanks for this! In no particular order i really like these:
- 1:33 Forrester
- 3:51 Vintage london
- 5:42 Dynamic 52
- 6:09 Condenser 103
God Damn. Cliff wrote sick lines. Thanks Josh for tearing that up!
Josh is so damn good it's unfair to the rest of us!
I want to see josh play five magics by Megadeth with his fingers

Tech21 VT bass + Two Notes CAB M+ is waaaay more powerful tone wise.
Thanks for the video.
I have a full board with preamp pedals etc but I need a good cab sim... Iridium does snot cut it and di for bass is weak.
Any suggestions?

Curious to hear if anybody has found clever uses for it.

So this only works for metal?
