In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, leading to a revolution known as the “November Revolution,” which ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented “Etude OP10, No. 12” in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, named it the “Revolutionary Etude. Miyako (guitar/keyboards) composed “Swan Song” based on this “Revolutionary Etude” and Dvorak's “New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite “Swan Lake,” based on the historical background of ““Revolutionary Etude. SwanSong” is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.
