    I feel with this big burner head this will be good to actually cook with (avoids hots spots)

    Nice straight forward review, no antics. The way we like it 😎!
    Just ordered one myself. Waiting on delivery. So you pointed out something I didn’t really think would be an issue: I’m surprised heat transfers to the burner control valve. I have a cheap Walmart stove and that doesn’t happen. Of course my Peak One has the nice plastic knob. Not a dealbreaker or the end of the world, but was just a tad surprised. Oh well.
    I am looking forward to that nice wide radius on the burner though. Hoping I can get it to couple with my Trangia set. I have a hack I use with my Coleman Peak One, and it works just great. See how this one goes.
    Trangia just came out with a little mini pot. I might still grab one, but I’m really thinking I might grab one of those pathfinder 1 quart. Trangia is not everything it’s cracked up to be. I think they’re building semi junk compared to what they did years ago. Pathfinder is all steel construction, and I tend to think will last longer in the wild camp scene.
    Thanks for the review! Gonna check out your other content 👍

    Wow.. that's literally the same stove I reviewed a few months ago. I bought mine off of Amazon though. Same fold out legs and everything.
    Thanks for the video brother

      From what I have heard, it is the same style of stove (probably the same manufacturer) but the Pathfinder version was made a little smaller to fit inside their 1 Quart Bush Pot. Thanks for watching and the comment.

    I tried using my BRS 3000T ultralight stove with a frying pan - A major hot spot made it almost unusable for this, but for boiling water it works fine. The pathfinder should work much better with a pan although the BRS 3000T is considerably lighter at only 26 grams.

    Another great video. Nesting is really important to me. I'm assuming that is the small canister? Great that the stove nests with the canister.

    • @BarnYardOutdoors
      @BarnYardOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it is the small canister. The larger canister will almost fit, the bottom of the larger canisters seal prevents it from fitting in the bush pot fully. With the stove inside the bush pot wrapped in the bandana, the larger canister adds about 1/2 inch of height to the setup. Not really a big issue since there is plenty of room in the bag. Thanks for watching and the comment.

    I just received on for Father’s Day. I like it.
    Have you noticed that the piece that screws onto the canister (with the valve) gets extremely hot?
    I boiled a small pot of water on medium low setting so it wasn’t on too long. I didn’t know if the heat would be too much a problem that close to the fuel tank or if there was a risk of it melting the rubber gasket.

      I have not noticed that. I usually let it cool down long before I take the stove apart. I will have to grab my temperature gun and see how hot it gets during my next boil. Thanks for watching and the comment.

      @@BarnYardOutdoors anytime. I enjoy your content. When you let it cool completely, do you have trouble unscrewing the brass piece from the burner? Maybe I didn’t let it cool long enough but I noticed unscrewing it was a bit laborious. Maybe it was just from the metal expanding due to the heat.

      @georgetallmage yes, I did have that issue once. That being said, I tend to tighten it a little too much.

    Great video. I just git the 1qt bush pot and pack stove. Question, where did you get the small canister for your coffee?

    • @BarnYardOutdoors
      @BarnYardOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found that on Amazon, it is made by a company called CoaGu. I have tried the Pathfinder Tins and wanted one that had a better seal to keep my coffee from getting any moisture in it. They have three sizes, here is the link to the one I used in the video. www.amazon.com/dp/B07DN68B6C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

      I got the bag from Campcraft Outdoors ( www.campcraftoutdoors.com/ ) It is a perfect fit and is listed under their Bush Pot Bags. It is the 1 Qt size. They make a lot of great American made gear. Thanks for watching and the comment.
