Just attended Distant Worlds concert couple of days ago. Clearly I haven't moved on. They did perform Suteki Da Ne, but 1000 no Kotoba will still be my fave from the X franchise. Too bad this wasn't played, love this song so much
I think there's probably a licensing issue with the X-2 soundtrack. It's not available to stream from official sources, and don't think I've ever seen a single song from it on any orchestral album or concert playlist. I really wish they'd sort it out as it has some great tracks on it!
@@JoshWinibergHello, sorry for barging in on an old post. But, my friend from Japan said that this song, 1000 words, is different from other final fantasy songs. The main difference is, the contract between square enix and the singer’s agency for this song stated that both side own the song rights. Not only square enix. So yeah, I think the reason why they never play this song in any concert is because of square probably doesn’t want to pay more money 😂
i love all the versions of sen no kotoba/thousand words, but this is the one that moves me the most. ffx-2 was the first final fantasy i met and played, i was 10 years old at the time. i played again a little while ago and the feeling of nostalgia was really good! i don't understand why this game hasn't been very popular and why most of the final fantasy fandom hate it. the story is amazing, yuna's evolution is very beautiful, the soundtrack is wonderful and it was a very good sequel to ffx. ❤
It was a terrible story with bad characters and a mostly very bad soundtrack. This song is one of the exceptions. This and the entire piano version of the soundtrack.
huh, im surprised. i personally don't feel nearly the same emotional feeling or anything from the Japanese version. the English rendition just blows this one away.
@@Thebrotherhoodofgaming i feel like the singer in this one put so much more emotion into it. like, you can hear the pain in her voice when she goes for the emotional parts. it's just a quality of her voice that the English singer didnt have. i like both versions, and leaned toward english bc i could understand it. However, as soon as i heard those pained parts of her performance i fell in love with this version.

I love this song and she sings it great, but it just feels weird that she sounds literally nothing like the Japanese voice for Yuna. :/ I was stunned the first time I heard it cause I was like WHOA that is NOT Yuna's voice!!! 😨

Yeah. I think the song being sung by Koda Kumi may have been a challenge for scheduling and other fees.

何度聴いても名曲！最後のシューインとレンの場面が脳裏に浮かんできます。
