It's honestly such a beautiful line, it's meant to be about how he doesn't want to fight. He fights because the people he loves are in danger, even if they aren't the people he grew up with at Sunflower. Nishiki, Kazama, Kashiwagi, and Yumi may be gone, but their legacy will live on, and Kiryu has plenty of people to live for now. Date, Yuya, the Morning Glory Kids, Haruka and Daigo, the Hirose boys, and even Haruto.
This song and Tonight are the only karaoke songs that make me burst into tears. Seeing Haruto in the song's cutscene immediately after seeing Kiryu walk off into the distance with nothing left to live for other than the thought that his loved ones would live a peaceful life just felt incredibly painful.
agree 1000% shiawase nara ii ya also never fails to make me cry, especially during the last part where majima erases the goofiness of the song and sings that last bit more seriously 🥲

Of course, mostly because of the great Takaya Kuroda, who always delivers emotions and feelings to the point. The lyrics and cinematics are just beautiful and make the whole thing perfect. 'hands in `Like a Dragon: Gaiden made me happy too of course...but I shouldn't have given in to my curiosity and hope that the English version might be quite good too...honestly, I hoped but didn't expect it...and it was a grave mistake... of course, i also realized that i would be a bit sad if the song didn't convince me... but I wasn't prepared to be so disappointed. Long story short - I was so very wrong! RGG Studio should hire you and let you write and sing every damn song. Especially with your 'hands cover, you convey the same great vibes that make the song so special and beautiful. The lyrics couldn't be more fitting in my mind...completely rounded in terms of content and music and simply so close to the original that it should actually come from the same pen. and finally...Your voice just fits so incredibly well with the world of emotions that I want to convey here. That's exactly how I want to hear an English karaoke version in Kamurocho... You've definitely made it into my playlist for life with this song...
