slotting the 5, and other points, may be one of my most common mistakes. Not on the opening 2 rolls, (credit to alex and XG) but I sure seem to miss a lot of other best plays. Great vid!
Glad I came to the right move after pausing and thinking for a couple minutes. Don't know if I'd be able to do it OTB because I likely wouldn't think that long even without a time clock as I ended up counting hits for a few different positions, but it was a good exercise for analysis. I was mainly thinking about how bad those blots in the opponent's home board are and that it's very much a blitzing position for white so anchoring up improves the position a lot. After realizing that, I figured there's no other way to play the 1 even though a lot of numbers hit, because it's still a pure priming play that breaks the mountain and it's not the end of the world if you get hit. Just realizing what the most important thing about the position was made it easy for me.
Really good video, as always! Am reading BGS right now and enjoying it. You did a video on common second roll errors which I am having difficulty finding again. Please could you post the link. Thanks so much 🙏
Very polished performance Alex, well done!
Thank you

Glad you got something out of it.
