    Love the channel bud! Nice to see someone from the UK With a perspective of budget friendly bikes. Just a potential vid idea, maybe one on what to look out for on a budget full sus. UK terrain doesn't favour hard tails that much 🤣

    Hey buddy, great videos. Looks like you're enjoying your bike!
    I'm looking to get back into MTBing after coming off badly 10 years ago, so am looking for a new do it all stead and I rode the Cube stereo one77 (aka 170) around the bike shop at the weekend. I'm liking the idea of the 170 travel for that sense of security but don't want to loose my ability to enjoy the short sharp rugged uphill bursts that my local in nature tracks demand. What are your thoughts? My alternative would be a trial bike. From everything I read it sounds like this could be considered a long travel trial bike???

    • @bikeandbeyond
      @bikeandbeyond  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello mate. Yeah I have this bike for a few years now and it has served me well. My cube stereo is 160 upfront and 150 in the rear. It more of an endurobike, designed mostly for gravity riding but has the ability to climb too. In my experience this is great bike for bikepark jumps and things but can be a real slog on trail centre days. If you are planning on riding loads of big jumps and drops then 170 is great, but if you are planning on riding trails most of the time then a trail bike is probably the best idea. Slightly shorter travel but more snappy and playful. My next bike will likely be a 150 trail bike and I plan to ride it on all the same trails and jumps that I do now. Something like a stumpjumper evo is more than capeable for trail days or trips to bike park wales etc

      I am only about an hour and a bit away from Grogley so I will be back soon.

    Went to old hill the summer before last, loved it but ran out of stuff to ride quite quickly, have you been back recently, seems they've built loads of new stuff?

    • @bikeandbeyond
      @bikeandbeyond  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I know what you mean. When it was just the two main trails it was easy to run out of fresh things to ride. It is amazing now though. They have added a couple of awesome lines that dwarf the jumps on the old red line. I went and rode them back at the end of summer.

    @Bike and Beyond is the Cube Stereo 240 pro worth it?

    • @bikeandbeyond
      @bikeandbeyond  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll start by saying that I love my 150 stereo. It’s a really good bike. That’s not really a question I would be able to answer. Am I right in saying that the 240 pro is a kids bike? £2200 seems like a lot for a kids bike. I am sure the bike itself would be awesome, but I guess it would depend on what time of riding you kid is planning on doing and how big of an enduro rider they are.
