My success in Karnataka cricket started after Kumble sir took the mantle of KSCA, thanks to the Royal Challenges-KSCA academy I got recognition and still am actively involved in Karnataka cricket.🙏🏽

Great chat. I remember the period Kumble mentions - 2003-2008. For a hardcore Kumble fan like me, I always felt at that time those were his best years. He reinvented himself at that time. Before that, in the 90s, he was a masterful bowler in ODIs. His accuracy and consistency were out of this world. Cricket was such a game, it seemed, those very great qualities sort of made him predictable. And then he became an even better bowler. He got a fair few 5-fors and 6-fors overseas after that. Also, many players including Dhoni say that Kumble is the best captain they've played under.
'Sir' Anil Kumble ' was only person in team before saurav makeover whom we could trust as a genuine matchwinner. Whenever he had ball to bowl than I could feel that he can make us win from any difficult situation.
My thoughts, We forget to give much more respects and recognization to Mr.Javagal srinath and Mr.Anil Kumble combo..Even Mr.Kumble got captaincy very late at end of his career but srinath missed that 😔😔Both were very hardwork gentlemen and fought till end..
With time cricket has cemented itself to karnataka in a very strong way. There will surely be more and more players from karnataka playing for the country going forward.

I started to like you not just because of your numbers and ability alone anna but also the physical and mental fight, you needed to come across. You could have behaved like Rayudu. But you haven't. People blame things ; but you accept, understand and working on next best move positively. Eg. When they suspect you, you went to England and proved it you can do. Very few players did like that. When Ash asked Kumble about his best decision, Kumble didn't even have to think when he spoke about his decision in the Adelaide test. Just goes to show how important that test match was for India and more so for Kumble. What a fighter! He is a coach we need but not one we deserve. P.S: I've seen JP sir's card as I used to train in JPSC (JP School for cricket) he did have pics of all 10 wickets.
