Small tip when screwing into plastic, first rotate backwards slowly with light pressure until you feel them skip down into the thread, then screw them in. That way you are less likely to get the screw chewing it's own new threads and stripping the hole out.
I also have the 161T for about 4 years have used and abused it so far never have any problem, my brother just buy one 6 months ago and apparently after just 3 hours of use already have that same problem with bar oil, his is leaking oil into the battery compartment.
My “Pocket chainsaw” is a Makita and works really well. Thanks for the video Human. On a sadder note, I’ve brought my mom home from the hospital to her home, the home I grew up in, to hospice here. Sometimes you can heat those lines up slightly with a lighter and bend it while it cools, kinda makes a stiff spot. Heatshrink is a good idea too, or could even split a piece of line and double it right there with some small zipties to stiffen it up in a pinch.
I know what you mean Human. I used the 161t on my 2nd job and the oiler packed up tuck it apart oil drive belt on the motor had fell off so I glued it back on with 2pack glue it now works well. it must of been made on Friday afternoon.
I almost threw mine in the trash trying to get it back together. I also dremeled off the black plastic around the safety button on the handle now I can use it with either hand!
Always amazes me that if a huge reputable company builds these they'd get the basics right, this is just basic & should've been built correctly at the point of design, where they have the computers that can see any potential problem before it becomes one...Corey to the rescue, you should be on the design team.
I feel your pain brother. I bought an ego. I'm completely happy with it. It's been awesome. And it's actually the only saw I've ever owned that doesn't leak Bar Oil. LOL

German engineers always manage to make the most simple things complicated. I'm looking forward to getting an electric tree saw in the future, but it sure won't be the 161. Looks like they designed it over a weekend beer fest.
Has anyone done a strip and assemble vid on the 161t ? Want to do a full strip down but seeing how fiddly some of the parts are would like a reference from getting it back together. Any tips

We obviously won't see a muffler mod on this one. But no Corey-saw will go unchanged in the long run, right? Any ideas for tweaks, maybe a chip tuning? 😂
@@rustyshackleford498 Picked it up at home depot, things great, even fits down cylinder cooling fins. I don't just saw it at the store while I was there
I can't think of anything worse to do to a saw. Sludge, corrosives and oil that doesn't stick to the chain. Bar oil is not that expensive and they make a winter blend.
Hahahah that would’ve hit the wall , junk plastic shit saw , just go to Home Depot and get a Ryobi lol but easy to throw them around and break em , they aren’t that expensive 😁

Yes, clearly. He's not the kind of guy to charge customers a full hour @65 bucks plus parts for a job that only costs 10 minutes and a part from the recycling bin. I think he's waaaaaaaay better than that! But that's just between you and me.

C'mon Human - China's got 12 year old kids doing 10 of these an hour!
it's easy for them because they have small hands
Think they are made in Germany...

This just happened to mine. Did your glue repair work/last? I'm guessing they are glued from factory?
The heavy inhale and "the fuck do you do"... I felt that bud. Been there.
Love the big Ave energy.

We demo’d those at work a few weeks ago. Every one had that same problem not oiling.

I think it's time to have that conversation with Husqvarna starting with the T536.
Corey On that oiler line they could have used a thicker line with a bigger inner diameter so the flow rate isn't restricted

the belt that drives the oil pump
You are BEST Maestru 🖐👍
Just curious why stihl doesnt makes those oiler line out of aluminum pipe
My shop lights do the same chit when I use the heat gun. LED lighting.
I'm sure there's a 90 degree angle that would work great for that bend.

Aggretsuko. Chainsaw. RAAGGGEEE!!!
Hardly even used my MS 261 C-M went out the other day and seen it puked bar oil all over the bench. Now I have to find where the leak is.
They pretty much always leak oil when not in use, my theory is changes in temp push it out

What bar and chain oil do you run now?
The struggle is real...
Nice job human
FIRST !!! Get the wood shed built , even if out of pallets , then safe that wood.
Dead or live it'll burn ! But dry is better :-)
No battery shit for me ... I need the sound and smell 💪🏽
Stick with 2 bangers they have worked fine for years
👍👍👍
I think the problem is the fuel to oil mix ratio. Try running 30:2. That's just my expert opinion though
Yep should have went with a echo
Nice.😆
as new as that saw looks im surprised you didn't take it back.
The plastic tube is too soft and too thin. It looks like they used irrigation noodle.
Wont be a buying one of those anytime soon.
