    Thank you for doing this Saskia! I love primary elements but dont always want the fractals so now that you tried that glue I know there is a way to stop them. Great video my friend and very informative 😘😘😘

    You are right. Very Gorgeous. Balloon roll areas still seen are pretty to me. The painting is a true beauty. That red you mixxed is really beautiful. the blackened areas really add interest to this painting. Thank you for sharing and thank you for letting us know how to get fractals with this paint

    They appear to be exceptional pigments. More vibrant, richer than any other brand Ive seen. How fortunate to have so many colors to work with!! Great results mixing, too. Thank you for video, it is answering questions Ive had for a long while. Blessings from Oregon!! A.

    very rich and pretty colors.. if you attempt the balloon rolls again,, watch. GILLY KUBE from Australia , she does them and balloon kisses she does also on almost every painting... I believe your paint on the canvas was too wet or to thick a layer that is why the roiled seemed to sink away,,, GILLY ALWAYS WAITS ONE HALF TO AN HOUR TO DO THE ROLLS , and she has shown many times how they sink when too wet, when the paint id dryer you all get the lovely feather type swirls like she and heather get,,, I am sure you will master it... some day I will be brave enough to try , instead of just watching all you amazing ladies..

    Hi Saskia! 💜
    Thank you so much for sharing your talent and tips with us. I appreciate that very much.
    I enjoy your personality a lot and it's awesome the passion that you have for your craft!
    I'm an artist from the beautiful mountains of Colorado, USA... I also do acrylic painting (abstract-my favorite, as well as more traditional brush painting) and pours, swipes, dips, smashes and other oddities of all kinds. 😻💓 Anything interesting that pops into my head, I try it out to see what happens lol!
    Today, I ordered the Colour Art Primary Elements Bling-It (every single color!) and the Vivid Polypour.. I can't wait for them to get here to start experimenting. 🦋🌺💃🏻🖌️
    Thank you for the 25% off coupon yassss! 🙆‍♀️✌🏼🌛🌟🌜🦠

    This turned out beautiful! At first I was thinking tropical until it dried, and then it feels like Mexico. I have a suggestion about the balloon roll. You might try just rolling the balloon in
    one direction, then picking it up, instead of pulling it back over where you have been. Also, I think it is important to use a fresh part of the balloon or wipe it off, so you don't muddy the
    colors. No worries, it turned out wonderful the way it is. So unusual.

    I know that you are the expert on TH-cam for the Primary Elements, and I have used your code to buy some. I was wondering if you are varnishing your paintings that you have used Primary Elements with, and what you are using to finish ( varnish) the painting. I am asking because Heather Mader has reported that when she has tried to varnish the the Primary Elements will bleed.

    • @SaskiaSmitArt
      @SaskiaSmitArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheryl Relph hello, thank you❣️
      Until now I have used spray varnish with uv protection and resin without any problems.
      It is important to let the painting dry at least 30 days.
      I have never used a brush on varnish with them.

    I was eager to watch your experiment. I too am experimenting with Polypour. The pigments and poly pour give a beautiful shiny gloss finished product when used as directed. The colors are translucent. Almost looks like an opal. I tried laying down a thin base coat of titanium white thinned with a little floetrol upon which I poured the paints and it formed dendrites along the outer edges of the pour. The polypour became thinner as it hit edge of the paint/floetrol and the colors blended allowing the dendrites to spread very thin and without defined edges. Similar to your Kiss Pour with Rob. .When I put two strips of color next to, but not touching, over the paint/floetrol, there were no dendrites because the surface tension between the two lines of paint seemed to prevent the dendrites from forming and the white paint area appeared like a wall or moat. I found the polypour and colors too thick to stretch out when colors were poured on top of each other. I could see multiple layers of colors but could not separate them by stretching. I am going to try the Extender made by the company. Rob's polypour feathers and abstract pours were very successful. I would be interested in what he uses as his pouring medium in his white base coat.

    If you leave the paint to dry a little that often helps also I think you have too much paint on your canvas, it's all just falling into each other.

  • @patriciagraham4771
    @patriciagraham4771 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So don't you add paint to the primary elements too, or do you just add the PolyPour to it and that is all? (I realize this time you added PVA glue, but I am talking about besides that.)

    • @SaskiaSmitArt
      @SaskiaSmitArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patricia Graham hello Patricia, yes only the vivid polypour goes with the primary elements, no paint. If you would like to thin them you van ad the vivid paint extender but Mostly it is not necessary 🙂

      Mary, you know there is/was nothing making you watch the video. It was not too long. You stayed and watched too long. And art is very personal. And in the eye of the beholder. To each their own. There is no "mistake" in abstract, abstract art is about FREEDOM and SURPRISE.. and COLORS either pro or con are only a personal preference. Sounds like you need neutral tones. But you dont have to decry things that dont work for YOU. Since its your choice to watch vids, find some that suits your self...
