- Join my dad and I on the Glass and Farrar again on another enjoyable day. The Farrar was raging all day so we explored new bits of the Farrar that we haven't fished before. Featuring dad with his Kelly Kettle making us a lovely hot lunch on the bank thanks dad. I went from using a 10 foot slow sink tip to an extra fast sink tip then back again to explore the different depths and water columns in the river.

£70/day
Beat me to it I get locals rate so was asking the owners at this time of year its £75 a day.

Out of interest, have you ever fished the River Affric? Or are you even allowed to? That’s a beautiful wee river.
I love every trip I have with my dad very lucky to still be able to get out with him. He loves playing with his Kelly kettle and his Mongolian hotpot to make lunches it will feature more in pike fishing videos through the winter. Never fished the Affric not sure how to get onto it I will need to ask around and see if I can get a day somehow.
Are you fishing the part of the farrar between the struy bridge and the gate keepers house?
I did fish part of that yes. It was running very high that day so couldn't fish a lot of it as it requires wading.
Only went up as far as the lodge pool as that's where the beat starts. Need to explore the farrar further up at some point.
@hardlinesangling culligran Estate is beautiful we stay there for a week or two every year fishing on the farrar for Brownies. We keep toying with the idea of having a go for salmon as watching your channel and Chris is making both me and my dad jealous 🤣

@lukepitts5774 thank you. The culligrain water can be very good I've heard. There is a freshet of water from the dams on Thursdays so there should always be water there on a Thursday. Need the water in the farrar for it to fish well.
