Got this pack yesterday and i'm really impressed. These 5150 profiles are super crispy and clear.Works really well on down-tuned stuff aswell. Also impressed with how running a real tubescreamer and noisegate in the kempers effects loop shapes the tone. Really brings everything together and gets rid of the dryness. Great job Josh! keep it up!

Yeah well aware... Still though, Different Masks on the Same Face was an epic teaser. I only recently found Sylosis via Pandora so was super bummed when I found out about the hiatus. For good reason though. All of them seem like genuinely awesome guys.
I have to say I didn't really had the same reaction as you after listening "Different masks on the same face". But I really love all their material starting from Conclusion of an Age. Seriously, one of the most original metal bands out there right now in my honest opinion.
I didn't care for it much my first few listens... but then it just hit me and I was hooked haha. Love the influence of black/doom progressions. Also if you haven't, check out Ali's drum cam of the song it's fantastic. I agree with you though. Even their f*cking name is original. And the art nouveau visuals... I mean, they have the whole package. Everything I didn't know I was looking for. I haven't been this stoked about a band since Pantera YEARS ago. Truthfully, I haven't heard a song from them I don't like. Nothing that is pure crap I mean... I'm in the US and even had to hunt down casting shadows from a guy in Italy just to own their entire discography.
Been putting this off for too long, but finally purchased this and your solo album. Looking forward to using these sounds in my music, and hope some of your riffing powers get channeled through these!
These profiles are so bad ass. I created performances for each amp type in my Kemper! I have tried the stl wall of sound pack, sinmix packs, and some of the chopper tones packs. They are all awesome, however this pack is by far my favorite! I would be willing to purchase a direct amp profile or merged profile pack if Josh were to make one available. Hint hint. Kemper is great for a lot of things as everyone knows but i really like hearing it through a 412 too. Yes you can turn off cab emulation but not the same as direct profile in my opinion. Josh, excellent work on the new solo work too. I strongly urge everyone to check that out as well. \m/. Hope to see sylosis near Wisconsin some time!
I kinda wish there was more data in the profiles regarding to the setups used... Like what OD, cab, mics, etc... and in the video, what guitars were used.. Not just the pickups. I'm assuming the 57 is the Eclipse and the JB is in the Horizon, but it's not listed. Both guitar's scales are different and respond differently. I didn't check if the profiles are refined or not, but o assume it makes a small difference which guitar one ends up using. In the end, what sounds best sounds best, but for learning purposes, some might find the gear notes helpful... also, of someone wanted to buy the real deal am0s/cabs/mics etc.. regardless it sounds pretty good. I'm curious to put these in a mix. Some of my alone tones sound better to me, but they might not work as well in a mix since I've been having some difficulty with them. My monitoring situation at the moment is also not very great. The speakers are fine, but the room is terrible. I can't wait to move my stuff!
Hey, Josh, can you do a video on practicing? You're great at riffing and leads and I would like to get in insight on what you did/do and build off of that. If you could, that would be great. Thanks, man!

Double tracking isn’t something the Kemper does, he’s just demonstrating what the profiles sound like when double tracked while recording
