I just love the interaction between Mama Mai and Jeannie, I mean they have me laughing so hard. Mama Mai looks darn good for her age. I see where Jeannie gets her beauty from and her sense of humor. I enjoy these videos a lot, I just wish I knew how to take better care of my skin.

You two are hilarious. Y'all have the only channel that makes me laugh every time. If I am down, you brighten my day. You change my tears to laughter. I suddenly lost my dad and mom in 2018 (Feb and Oct-coming upon 1 year). It has been so difficult to go from day to day sometimes and how y'all always make me laugh which is refreshing. One of my biggest dreams is to have the opportunity of meeting the two of you in person. Jeannie, continue to love and enjoy your mom while you have her. Live each day like it's your last day with her because you never know.
Oh Mama Mai, you had me choked up there! Dads doesn't know the affect they have on their kids years later, even if you are grown, there is still that sad little girl/boy inside of you. I agree with Jeannie, you need to talk about this so that you can heal. The Lord healed me from all my daddy issues and pain the 20th May 2012. I have never knew him, always wanted to meet him, he died a week before I was about to meet him in 2006, so the first time I saw him was in his coffin. Today I can talk about him without bursting into tears or the shame that choked me when people asked who's your daddy. Jesus heals!
I am quiet the opposite. I had a dad who was there monetarily but not there emotionally. Surprisingly enough being a dad of my 6 girls (and one boy) he still managed to be sexist. He was emotionally and physically abusive to us. He always made sure to make us (the girls) feel like we are nobodies and that women aren't smart. I'm here trying to prove him wrong while getting my bachelors for biology (applying to dental school). Hearing mama mai cry made me think about my childhood too. Hearing each others stories/experiences makes me feel like I can relate to someone and it actually helps me emotionally.

Let me just say how I fell in love with this channel last week. Typically you follow celebrities just to their business. But following Jeannie’s channel is different. When I watch her channel I feel like my family. She gives you real emotions and shares her family. Honestly almost every video I feel like this could be any regular person and not just a celebrity. Your mom and I are so similar. I've been DIY'ing my skincare since 1987. My most used go to fruits are lemon and tomato and most used other items; honey, rice, sugar, turmeric, aloe. Champagne was also a make-up remover at times. We were also taught to clean opposing gravity and use pinky (smallest) or ring finger to cleanse around eye area for less pressure, probably why your mom cleans upward. Tepid to cold water tightens pores and is good for setting make-up. Loving Mama Mai. How we roll, old school.
OMG Eastern European moms are the same with skincare, whatever you can eat they put as a mask on their face. My mom is the same as Mama Mai. She's 62 years old, most 40 year old's have nothing on her, she looks incredible. And she has the same youthful energy as Mama Mai, still wears heels and mini skirts, does her hair and makeup every day, nails, everything.
I'm Southern European and my family makes fun of me just for putting coconut oil in my hair overnight 😂
Yesss my grandma is cooking and putting cucumbers, potatos, tomatos, green tea, anything on her face and always yelling at me if I dont do the same while cooking 😭
@@as19J01 Omg, they have no idea what they are missing! I put coconut oil everywhere (except my face) , hair, body, nails and cuticles, even the feet to moisture them and keep them baby soft. Most of the time I'm walking around the house all greasy and I love it😂😂

Omg, I love you, Mama Mai. Thanks for the joy you bring. It is also sobering to hear you talk about your father. Iyanla Vanzant had a guest on one of her Fix My Life episodes that used to always get smacked in the face by her mother (pretty sure it was the episode of a black woman that won the lottery and moved her family to live on a plantation). Iyanla explained to her mother it is of particular insult to smack her child in the face as the face represents the way we show up in the world and her mother smacking her in the face is the ultimate rejection. I hope you receive a complete healing from those traumatic experiences because God knows you did not deserve them. You going to counseling is one opportunity of many to be able to start the purging process of such deep pain and anguish. You've already been doing something amazing all these years to love and pamper your face and yourself - what a wonderful self-affirmation! I would love to hear Mama Mai’s story about her dad, when she’s ready. I went through some pretty horrid abuse at the hands of my father as a child so I would love to hear her experience. That’s the kind of thing that is hard to heal from.
mama mai reminds me so much of my mom! they are literally twins right from their sense humor, personality, cooking, just their heart in general. it makes me feel like i'm with my mom all over again (she passed away in 2017). so thank you mama mai for being you & allowing me to feel connected to my mom again ❤️

I hope mamma mai writes a memoir, i would totally buy it just to hear her stories. Im 26 and vietnamese and i suffered from a lot of family abuse which later resulted from severe anxiety and depression. sometimes when i talk about my family i choke up and cry but the more i talk about it the more i get to purge out my past from inside me, i hope to hear more of her stories

As a scholar who has written scholarly articles and research on this, I really get annoyed at how IKS is looked down on and yet the science community continuously appropriates and rips it off. People forget that their fave vitamin C Serum is based off vitamin c gotten from lemons etc that has been isolated and stabilized and their fave glycolic acid peel is actually from the glycolic acid of fruit and only stabilized for cosmetics.
Coconut oil has been my go to make up remover for over a year and honestly removes waterproof makeup amazingly well

Your mother is the only person I’ve found on TH-cam so far that uses so many if not all natural products. And if she looks like that from all natural products she’s doing something right.
