7kos with counter here, all i can say is yes. It needs a Counter damage buff, AND a slight range buff for its right m1 jab. Low raw damage is already a balance for it. Its a fairly predictable style where u can mostly pd to the right since no one spams m2s. However its stamina and double dash capability makes it a viable style. Its also pretty decent in guard weakening. If u timed ur punches and practice around the stamina its a very nice and fair style to use.
Counter styles have basically the best damage when countering but most good players won't let you counter them or atleast play more cautiously which will heavily cut your damage so in my opinion they either need to revert the counter damage nerf or Buff base damage for consistent damage.
Counter styles are easy to use, most good players already gravitate to abusing counter loops to get more damage. learning how to use m2s to abuse the massive counter bonus even post nerf is still a viable tactic. Counters are THE BEST mechanic to chase after because it relies on speed and timing which most styles that dont have a counter bonus struggle with
There are ways to actually mitigate counter chances, back dashing, amazing reaction time and also double dashing but the amalgamations of m1 and m2 delays, feints, and dash punish can make all the difference. This is a style meant to be more on the technical side.

It's just that counter styles in this game were and still are weak. People Like not having to worry about countering to do dmg
But it was really good gimmick. A difference from the usual pound n ground styles, causing u to actually think more precisely.
