This video was very helpful to understand the need for Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB). It clearly explained the benefits of having gateway load balancer [Stateful auto-scaled firewalls behind GWLB along with Transit Gateway (TGW) appliance mode ].
Additionally, the nuanced discussion ( seperation of duties - control plane vs data plane) between centralized versus non-centralized inspection VPC was insightful!

Do you enabled the appliance mode only on the VPC with the Firewall? The inspection VPC? Or does every spoke VPC need this setting as well?
