Yeah, the combat in origins and odyssey has more freedom than the combat the older games had. They just need to make it feel a little more meaty, more heavy, like the from software games.
I just wish stealth and parkour played a bigger role, but with the Vikings setting that seems like it will be impossible. This game looks like it'll be another Origins/Odyssey. As long as it's less of an RPG than Odyssey and stealth is still a viable option I'll be happy though.

After playing odyssey it was decent but the endless grinding and annoying ways of upgrading weapons because it couldn’t level up with you as you leveled up I had no intent of finishing it. Odyssey was SUPER repetitive. Ubisoft doesn’t know how to handle an RPG game at all they’re horrible at it and they think putting micro transactions to rush through it works. Let CD project red handle that

There is an assassin in that trailer. Its obv not really odin. He also has a hidden blade. I think its gonna start with him being an ordinary viking thats pulled into their age old conflict like edward in black flag. Kind of sick of reading every second comment about how this should no longer be called Assassin's Creed, WHY? We don't know the story yet... The kings of England could be templars (or stand for the templar ideas) and Vikings valued freedom (which is the idea the Assassin's defend) so in essence it is a clash of the ideologies of Templar's and Assassin's... therefore Assassin's Creed? Ubisoft can tell a story in AC universe without the need to always include the templar and assassin order... Origin and Odyssey are basicaly the origin stories for both Assassin and Templar orders... or the ideologies behind them, why should they not be called Assassin's Creed?
It seems to be going in a similar route to Black Flag, perhaps we’ll start off as a Viking and join the brotherhood. Also the game director and writer from Black Flag is working on this game. So I definitely have high hopes for it. I also love Norse mythology and Vikings(as in the time period, I haven’t watched the show.)
Well actually, apparently they went to Norway to get most of their inspiration fo the beinning part of the game atleast. And the port (in the beginning looks a lot like places in northern Norway (think they went to lofoten to be exact). Kattegat in the series is not accurate, considering it's placed in Denmrk which is an extremely flat country (just to mention that).

I guess, there is no big publisher that stupid enough to make the same mistake as SE with rise of tomb raider. Based on sales probability alone, PS timed exclusive = fine, xbox timed exclusive = doomed

The game will be great 👍🏻 But the only thing (for me) is , can you bring back the old Fighting System from Assassin’s Creed 3,4 . That would for me the best thing you can do.
Judging by the setting and the main character, this game will follow oddessy fighting style.
I prefer the current system.
Yeah, the combat in origins and odyssey has more freedom than the combat the older games had. They just need to make it feel a little more meaty, more heavy, like the from software games.
KZ#001 they said that the combat is going to be like origins but unique, whole new types of weapons and mechanics
I just wish stealth and parkour played a bigger role, but with the Vikings setting that seems like it will be impossible. This game looks like it'll be another Origins/Odyssey.
As long as it's less of an RPG than Odyssey and stealth is still a viable option I'll be happy though.
I do not know where Ubisoft is going with this but I preferred AC when it was white cloak robes and having greats like Ezio and Altair.
theres 5 games of exactly that, 5 games. Series has become more action oriented but action means more variety.
You could always play those games whenever you want.

jasontheking134 I hardly complained. After playing odyssey it was decent but the endless grinding and annoying ways of upgrading weapons because it couldn’t level up with you as you leveled up I had no intent of finishing it. Odyssey was SUPER repetitive. Ubisoft doesn’t know how to handle an RPG game at all they’re horrible at it and they think putting micro transactions to rush through it works. Let CD project red handle that

There is an assassin in that trailer. Its obv not really odin. He also has a hidden blade. I think its gonna start with him being an ordinary viking thats pulled into their age old conflict like edward in black flag.
And tbf this would not have a quarter of the hype or sales it would have if not for the AC brand name.

Kind of sick of reading every second comment about how this should no longer be called Assassin's Creed, WHY? We don't know the story yet... The kings of England could be templars (or stand for the templar ideas) and Vikings valued freedom (which is the idea the Assassin's defend) so in essence it is a clash of the ideologies of Templar's and Assassin's... therefore Assassin's Creed? Ubisoft can tell a story in AC universe without the need to always include the templar and assassin order... Origin and Odyssey are basicaly the origin stories for both Assassin and Templar orders... or the ideologies behind them, why should they not be called Assassin's Creed?
It seems to be going in a similar route to Black Flag, perhaps we’ll start off as a Viking and join the brotherhood. Also the game director and writer from Black Flag is working on this game. So I definitely have high hopes for it. I also love Norse mythology and Vikings(as in the time period, I haven’t watched the show.)
looks much like the vikings show, im sure that was a source of some inspiration. their port village even looks like Kattegat! :P
Well actually, apparently they went to Norway to get most of their inspiration fo the beinning part of the game atleast. And the port (in the beginning looks a lot like places in northern Norway (think they went to lofoten to be exact). Kattegat in the series is not accurate, considering it's placed in Denmrk which is an extremely flat country (just to mention that).
