Stylus alternatives for the iPad are better for Writing rather than Drawing. Palm rejection & Pen Pressure sensitivity are key when drawing.

@@maryfer1077 get the 1st gen, the only compatible one for anything besides the pro. Just got the 8th Gen iPad and 1st Gen Pencil and it is beautiful. The sensitivity is great, and i’m in love. Hope this helps! Good luck.
Yeah 😔 hopefully I can get a new iPad soon so I can get an Apple Pencil 😃 I also use an off brand stylus, it’s called Digroot and it was $10 on Amazon, glitchy but does the job

at 6:32 I have the pen with no micro fibre at the top and It works well for me except that it has no palm rejection,But It still helps and lasts longer and I can take notes and highlight and annotate my PDFS for school!

I cannot stress enough how glad I am I went with just biting the bullet and buying the Apple Pencil it’s MAGICAL and I’m finally doing art daily after not doing it almost at all for the past year

I just bought the Logitech pencil for my son that has fine motor problems. It will help him learn to wright
I have the same one...it’s a great pencil for much less. The design would be great for anyone that maybe has arthritis or for younger kids. If you watch them for a bit you can get one on sale for around $40 too...a great deal.

I have use both Apple Pencil and Logitech crayon during digital art and i love both but if you are a beginner in digital art with a low budget starting point keep the crayon! I definitely enjoy it (especially with procreate) and it help me a lot while I was starting to draw on iPad you get use to the flat design and at some point would find it useful;)

@@khadija.1729 it’s honestly just a regular stylus. I got it. I think for the same price you can probably find an Apple Pencil on eBay or something, and you might wanna get that instead. I got mine for $30 I found it, it’s not bad but it’s just a regular rechargeable stylus. I never had a generic stylus before to compare them.
pressure sensitivity and palm rejection really is the selling point for styluses or pens for artists

The paperlike screen protectors are okay, I have one rn, but I’ve noticed that it scratches easy, and I mean EASY. It scratches from the pencil it’s made for. Yes, my Apple Pencil scratches it. The scratches are noticeable and you can feel them. They leave a dusty residue after scratching and I hate it so much. All I want is a screen protector where I can draw worry free, where my pencil doesn’t stick anywhere. Thankfully, the paperlike does get rid of the weird sticky parts on my iPad screen. I don’t know if I recommend it or not, but I feel like there isn’t a better screen protector out there, so I like it in comparison to others. So don’t fall into the trap of paperlike advertising, that’s all. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
I have the 3rd one in from the thumbnail it’s amazing the battery lasts me as an artist that draws daily at least a week! And charges in less then a hour!
Finally found a video that doesn't simply mention the bluetooth and pressure sensitivity but also goes through features like the Scribble (draw to text) and Finger Touch incompatiblities. Thank you so much! I went ahead with the Logitech Crayon to save some bucks

I have the last one and I have no problem with the pressure or the sensitivity. It’s a simple pencil as he said ( it just imitates finger pressure ), simple, cheap, easy to use.

Imo the first Apple Pencil charging is way better than the Logitech... you just can plug it i to the iPad instead of always need a cable to charge it... especially on the go.
naaahhh youre not always on the go now because of the pandemic. So you're always at home and goes to food banks while outside. So the convenience of the apple pencil is not there anymore. AP sucks

Just an FYI: The 1st gen. Apple Pencil comes with an adapter, so you can charge it with a lightning cable.
Apple Pencil is expensive, but we bought the 2nd Gen and I used to have the first and when the pencil hits the ipad it works nice.
At my school we use the logi tech pen. It performs in my opinion the same way, but it doesn’t have pressure sensitivity

It works great...the only thing (besides the design) that’s different than the Apple Pencil is pressure sensitivity for drawing. I’ve had the logitech crayon for about a year now and I absolutely love it… And if you watch online for a little bit you might be able to find one on sale for about $40. That’s how much I ended up paying for one at Best Buy...great deal

It says to connect you need to do something in Apple Pencil settings, but the settings aren’t there unless you have the pen ( which I don’t that’s why I’m here ) so how do I do this
I have the third one , the sensitivity is very low, it barely reacts to my writing,and I can’t put my hand on the canvas while drawing, so the Apple Pencil is the best in my opinion

I don’t have an iPad so that’s why i got that stylus for drawing on my phone and i love it it works just fine i also have the “pony” stylus but mines a different brand but it’s identical to that one except that it has a mesh ball on one side and the clear circle on the other

I would actually highly recommend buying a used Apple Pencil and/or iPad. It’s better for preventing e-waste, cost effective, and works just as well. I remember I bought a used Apple Pencil 2 for 60 dollars…

I use the clycon stylus and it is honestly very good for iPad Air 1 and 2 as the other normal stylus won’t support it but clycon one only cost 50 dollars and it supports android phones as well !!and all apple products the only thing is it doesn’t have hand recognition as it when u keep ur hand on iPad the stylus will not work u must keep it on a flat surface and write but overall it is an amazing stylus all the info u need test it out pls

I don't recommend the Pony stylus. I was drawing with it, when the tip just fell out entirely.. I tried installing the extra one on e back, but it would insert.
But my tip fell of and I just it back one...
Yeah mines broke in the middle of drawing then i used the back up one and it only lasted 2 days and broke in the middle of me taking notes!

the stylus i have (the second one he showed) works on any device i think, it works fine on my phone and my ipad so i think it’s would be fine on your ipad

I just got an IPad Air 2 and I do not recommend. I got one of these pens after getting scammed out of an Apple Pencil. If you are an artist this is not the pen for you as it will make extremely wobbly lines and is easily effected if you’re hand touches the iPad.

Using the vongong Pencil that charges magnetically to my 12.9 2022 iPad Pro and this Pencil here looks just like it lolll, it also has a double tap feature which isn’t on the Apple Pencil, I can exit my apps by tapping the top of my Pencil twice, and taking a picture, by tapping the top of my Pencil once, I was shocked when I found that the Apple Pencil didn’t have these features… LOVE my Pencil lol I had alr spent like 1.3k for my iPad Pro, so there was no way I was buying a 129$ pen lol, and for my Pencil I can use Apple tips. I’m 19 btw, this was a drastic change from my iPad 7th gen, had that for three years. No pressure sensitivity tho, but that’s ok cuz I don’t draw lol I just use notes, and use my iPad as a coloring book every now and then.
