I can't get over the difference in color between the wing and the fuselage just based on the colors selected for the marble coat. I'd almost swear the blend coat is two different colors. Doogs, what airbrush are you using and what pressure are you spraying? Do you vary the pressure for the marble coat and the thinner blend coat? Really getting a lot from this series. Thanks for taking the huge amount of time to record, edit and post this for us!
Been using my CM-B Custom Micron and Gunze PS-770 for almost all of it - I prefer painting small, even for blend coats, so unless I'm doing something like primers, clears, or something that requires more volume (like, say, a uniform glossy black) I tend to stick to the detail guns. As for pressure - 8-15 more or less. From there I just move around to taste. Individual paints and prevailing weather conditions (temp, humidity etc) can mean tweaks in one direction or another.
Love your videos and that you share your deep dives
Very interesting, thank you very much for sharing! Definitely going to give it a try :-)
Thanks for the comparison. How do you think this will look on armor/armour?

Matt, what is the tripod thing you rest your models on for painting please?
