(April 15, 1980) is a former Dutch singer of the 4 Strings trance project. Between 2000 and 2005 she had hits with the group like "Take Me Away (Into the Night)", "Diving" and "Let it Rain".
Biography [edit]
Van Hemert followed the course Communication and Design Management between 2000 and 2004 at the Inholland University in Rotterdam. [1] In the same period she was a singer of the 4 Strings trance project, founded in 2000 by Carlo Resoort and Jan de Vos. The group was successful with their singles "Day Time" (2000) and "Into the Night" (2001), but did not really break when Van Hemert provided the last song of vocals and one year later called "Take Me Away (Into the Night) "became a global hit. In the years following, "Diving", "Let it Rain", "Summer Sun" and "Turn It Around", all of them hit the charts in the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany in particular. In 2004 rumors made the run that Van Hemert left the group because there were some songs that they could not hear. Although Carlo Resoort denied the rumors, Hemert left the group in 2005. The single "Sunrise" is the last to be heard. Afterwards, there was nothing more heard of her in the musical field. Today she works in a store in Den Haag .

Vanessa van Hemert was originally portrayed as the main vocalist of the group. However, it was revealed on 5 April 2019 that Susanne Teutenberg was actually the vocalist behind most of the songs from the first two albums from 2002 to 2005. This was confirmed by Susanne herself on her Facebook page, and by 4 Strings on their Twitter page, with the other vocalists being Nikola Materne and Janson Lunar. It was then revealed that van Hemert only appeared lip-syncing in their live performances and videos between 2002 and 2005, never providing vocals on any of their tracks. Susanne's first official song with 4 Strings was "A Brand New Day", which was released in 2019, and her first live performance was on the festival Tranceformations on 8 February 2020.
