I know EXACTLY what you mean! However, I'm telling you, CHH (Cristian Hip Hop) has some of the most slept on rappers and Bizzle at the top of that list! There are a lot of others though.
You're right... but God loves humanity so much he's raising up voices like these to reach the most lost and lied to youth out there. It's not safe big money commercial "contemporary Christian" or fake... it's independent and real and raw. Sevin is my favorite of the super real Christian hip hop artists, go rabbit hole on him for a while he's sick. But ultimately, as they themselves will say, all glory to God... there are people who haven't heard truth, there are people who can't be reached most other ways... God is raising up people for such a time as this; all kinds of people in all kinds of fields and places... and one place is through hip hop. These days more than ever, people know what's fake, we can smell it, because most stuff is fake. People don't want false humility or the pretense of perfection, they just want something real. And we're getting it, and gonna get even more of it in these last days. Corporate money tries to give the impression that they find and define what the best skill and talent is, and that's just not true.... God always has access to the brightest most talented minds in all of history including now, and He will use them for his kingdom and his glory.

I can hear Hank Hill in my head: Goddamnit you're not making Christianity better, you're making Rap worse. As much as I'm into some classic old-school rap, this lazy talentless mix of auto-tune, mumbling, and "instrumentation, what's that?!?" really does nothing for me. I don't understand how people have careers making this type of stuff.
I never cared for that sound before autotune, back in the 1970's when it was popular to fuzz up music as if it was all being run through an amateur table top organ with broken speakers.
