love Wei Li An 韋禮安 since secondary sch ❤ he is a really talented songwriter and thats how he was signed too. he was discovered because of the original songs that he uploaded on streetvoice (kinda like soundcloud) and a recording agency reached out. honestly i did also find his voice a bit nasal-y at first but after a while, it just felt like his style? idk hahaha im not a professional but he has a really unique voice (and songwriting style) that i can identify instantly. anw- watching this reminded me of an interview i saw back then of him mentioning that he actually wasnt too sure if he liked his voice and was worried others would dislike it. i think he revealed this when he won first place in one of the campus singing competitions when he was still studying at NTU (if my memory serves).
A lot of Taiwanese singers are unique, I also think a lot of Taiwanese singers have softer pronunciations in comparison to mainland singers. But I understand it’s a sensitive topic lol
When chinese people called Taiwanese singers "Chinese"...which happens all the time. I feel like this vocal coach need to do her own homework to really understand the backgrounds of these artists. I hope she read the comments. And yes, Weibird is very fluent in English. He graduated from the best university in Taiwan with an English degree
Music and musician from mainland China or from Taiwan are very different. It needs to pointed it out when the vocal coach is wondering, otherwise, it will be very confusing. “He is a singer/song writer from Taiwan” explains many things easily.

另外如果常聽他專輯跟現場的差別，他只要唱現場面罩音（鼻音）都會比較多，聲音也比較尖，但專輯就還好少很多也舒服很多。我猜是他很多歌key都很高，現場用那種方式唱高音比較容易上的去我猜
他的媽媽是中正大學外語系的教授，他自己是台大外文系的，這樣的背景下應該從小他母親就用英文在日常生活溝通，所以我覺得老師說英文是他的第二語言是正確的
她父母在美國讀博士的時候 就一起去美國了 英文幾乎是他的母語

韋禮安的確用了大量面罩共鳴，但他跟80年代的歌手差別在他縮小口腔空間，聽感跟美聲男團不一樣，特別是句尾，美聲聽感會比較開闊，韋禮安會比較集中一點，但他的確在華人市場做出了辨識度。
正如老師所說 韋禮安用了很多技巧在一首歌 所以敲碗更多WeiBird唱現場的分析～～

因為外國人常講英文更容易偷懶把 [ju] 讀成沒有子音的 [iu]，就像漢語裡面很多字單獨發音和口語說話連讀發音時也不太一樣，而這就是漢語聽起來道不道地的原因。
