My pleasure to give you my collection of pottery found throughout the last 5 years on the Thames foreshore. They have gone to a good home and they are in safe hands. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial video. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed that.
Saw you with Nicola White. You are an amazing person and bring life to things others have tossed away and forgotten so long ago.. The things you showed us in this video are wonderful relics of your rich British past. We are lucky to have experts like you! Thank You.
Richard, what generous donations you have received. Thank you for your detailed review of these items with, as always, your insight and examples -- a thorough documentation for all of us and the donors and you.
They couldn't have given them to a better person, one who is so generous with his knowledge. Thanks, Richard. Can't wait to see you back on the foreshore!!
Great video Richard! It was like taking a live walk through your book! Very helpful. You cleared up one of my mystery pieces from last March--a handle from a Bristol glazed stoneware flagon. Thanks!! Tim
I really enjoyed this program. I look forward to your you tube releases. Today you described a piece of cream ware with the feather edge that I was delighted to see. A part of a serving dish was in show of a homestead in Virginia. The home was built after about 1760. This information will help the Appalachian History Detective date the kitchen at this home. Thank you.
Thank you very much for another wonderful episode & tour through time. The pieces gifted must have been a joy to receive indeed! I really appreciate being taught the nuances of each piece & type of pottery; learning about history & humanity along the way. 🙏🏼
I love your pottery collections, Mr. Hemery. I so love when you go through your finds. Your descriptions are a wealth of information. I hope to get you book! Thank you for sharing your finds and backgrounds.
Wonderful information! Really enjoyed that! Great history and timeline of the pieces. I've seen people find these types of things on the Thames and it's nice to have the background! Thanks so much!
That was just wonderful. What a treasure trove, both the pottery items and your expertise. :-) Richard, have you ever tried to make your own pottery? Has that ever appealed to you?
thank you for explaining how all of these pieces group together and are individually slightly different - I've learned so much through your videos. great donation Tobias - how much can be found in a short time. i do wish we had pipkins now , they seem a useful cooking or warming pot !
Lovely pieces to add to your burgeoning collection. Do you label or record your pieces in any way? Thanks again Richard for another interesting and educational vid. All the best from Oz.
