having been a captain of quite a few USTA teams, I RARELY found folks that wanted to play "up". Most of the time, it is the reverse. Sandbaggers, folks that were intentionally playing down so that they could win. I guess you are playing against that type of group.
Sam is certainly a strong 4.5 at least. (her serve for sure) Itzel was a bit overpowered but did well after she settled. good match
