Yadagiri (Karnataka): Farmers were overjoyed when the Karnataka government deposited money into their accounts as part of the state's farm loan waiver promise. However, the money has now disappeared from over 13,000 farmers’ bank accounts, all at once. As the farmers rushed to the banks to enquire, the bank authorities informed that the funds had been "refunded" to the state government.
