    Love the way that you look young and carefree at the start of your trading journey, and by the end of it you look like you've slept in a skip. It's literally what trading does to you!! Congrats on turning it around.

    Good stuff. Peter Webb once said to me " do the opposite of what YOU think ". In other words, if you'd done the opposite to your mistakes, you'd be in profit.

      So instead of backing a horse … lay it to lose .
      Is this what Peter Webb is saying ?

    • @johnristheanswer
      @johnristheanswer ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @didsid3529 No. Peter is 99% a pre off trader. It's about trading, not backing or laying straight bets. A simplified example might be - a horse drifts a lot very quickly from 3.00 to 4.00 in 30 seconds. It's now hit a crossover point. What do " YOU think " will happen next based on your own trading experience and crowd mentality ?

    Congrats. You looked like you aged 12 years in 12months!! Haha, seriously, I wonder if a before and after mugshot of most traders might say more than an Excel spreadsheet. Anyway, you hands down beat me in my first year.

    Having been a pro poker player for nearly 20yrs and a born again pro horse punter, I'm now looking at this shite. Haven't got betangel YET, now being 46 yrs old I'm far too experienced and realise rushing in is for fools, but indeed it does seem from most videos that there's virtually nothing complete that ever gets explained about HOW TO BLOODY WELL DO IT. Caan waffles on at 100mph without actually ever saying anything. tbf u do explain things a little better

      If you have already made your money it is not worth the time to learn the Betfair markets. I do not see a reason to let your poker profits and start learning a new game which is completely different. The only reason i can think of is that you have not made a great amount of money and you cannot make good money anymore because it is much more competitive than it used to be 10-20 years ago. Also if you are a profitable poker player as you said, would you explain to the public in details of how it is done?

      There are courses you can take (which may or may not be useful) but there isn't a secret formula. It's the old 10,000 hours training thing. If you want to be really good at something, practise for 5 hours a day every day for 5 years, then you'll probably be pretty good.

    its complete discipline and money management, some patterns happen a lot like 5f horse getting caught up in stall etc if your fast enough inplay you can make money but again money management and knowing when to sit on your hands is a must.

    All traders pretty much have same journey then it just clicks still very hard as someone said when you start scaling up and see those bigs numbers on both sides of your trades everything tells you to either cashout for a loss at the wrong time because its getting scary or you let your trades run at the wrong time and hope comes into play - knowing when its time to take the loss or hold on as within the trade most of the time you going to be in a loss I didnt getting anywhere until I started tennis trading and now find other sports easier to trade for that experience

    I given up with it completely, the experts who are selling their software and trading course make it look like anyone can do it, there is no rhyme or reason why the horse racing markets move up or down, well there is , its when theres a big lump of money put on by which time youre too late already, if your on the wrong side of this it can wipe out your previous profit , I havnt met anyone who says they make regular profit pre horse trading, I have my doubts as to whether the gurus do either , have a go at forex, its much easier to read the markets , stop loss works and you never need to be worried about enough money in the market, Id never go back to horse racing trading , it really is a mugs game.

      I have no clue about forex and finnancial markets but what you wrote about betfair gurus is spot on. I am pretty sure even if they are profitable, they make much more money from selling courses and softwares.

    It cost me a packet to eventually find my 'edge' within the horse racing trading market but it was worth every penny. I started at 2K down, then started making a £1 a day, then £2, then £100 a week, now a whole lot more than that. Now almost 1.5K up.

    I have been following your channel and have applied quite a few of your matched betting strats and have been rewarded handsomely. I am a big fan of what you are doing so thank you for sharing.
    I also run a fully automated exchange betting algorithm thru my company Mozaic Inc Ltd. I wanted to pick your brain and would love to setup a zoom call to show you the data I have collated in the last 6 years with a back testing suite and the model I am using. It has been somewhat successful but in terms of EV, although positive, the drawdowns are a little too much on the “risk on” side. I really think if we can sit down and review it, perhaps we with our combined expertise can come up with a more robust model.
    My idea is that, we have a zoom call. I can show you what I do. And perhaps we take it from there. Ps. Sent you an email to your support email address
