Sounds like an incredible journey! 💫

Really interesting video, thanks ESA!

ESPETACULAR......INCRÍVEL......
I am a 45 year old female doctor, and I am applying. Thank you for the video.
Best of luck!
Thank you so much.
I’m 15, in the next selection I’ll be applying
@@SaeeTheCuber You have to be from one of the countries that are ESA Member States or Associated Member States
My dream. 🙏❤🚀
Go for it Aisha ! Prepare and focus and you will get there ! Good Luck !!
@@lvn968 thank you very much for your support. 🙏 I'm only 16 but I will participate in a few years if all goes well, I promise. 😉🚀
Aisha, 16 and being a (young) woman and (I presume) from Arab descent (diversity) is all in your favor ! Being 16 is the perfect age to start focusing and preparing yourself. Make sure you get at least the minimum qualifications and more important think why you want to become an astronaut (= your motivation). I'm sure if you want, you can get there ! Never give up as long as there is a chance. Doing a job that you like is the best I can tell you from my own personal experience: I've studied Law, but never did anything with it because I ended up in the tourism business and am happily traveling the whole world for many years now !
@@lvn968 Thank you for your kind words. 🙏 Although I have an Arabic first name, I am Indian and French by nationality. My goal would be to represent France in space exploration and of course to realize my childhood dream. ✨ I'm happy to have been able to realize this passion as quickly as possible otherwise it would have been too late. The path will undoubtedly be long, hard and winding, but I will never give up, this dream is inked in me and is unlikely to be erased any time soon. 💪 I know very well that specific skills are needed for this job and I'm not sure I'm the ideal candidate but I don't want to censor myself. 🚀 Thanks again. ❤
I would love to be an astronaut for the ESA when I grow up
Great information!
Thanks for watching!
Any news of the next selection?
I want to become an astronaut and see the Earth from orbit!
It would be the most beautiful sight to see!
Go for it !
@@lvn968 thanks
Well, im 22 currently in apprenticeship as an electritian, collected some knowlege about space stuff over the years. I still see no chance beeing an Astronaut one day, or even working with one.
Well, I'm 32 currently, started out with an apprenticeship as a machine operator... and am now writing my application.
Never would have thought that would be possible just a couple of years ago. Never say never.
...
I know... technically you did say "no chance" not "never"... but I hope you get my meaning. ;)
i am too joung right now, but i hope to apply in 15-20 years from now. but i want to know, would having autism disqualify me?
One day I am an astronaut :)
she says the level of knowledge is not asked for applying so why it has age limit ? I couldn't find my answer in video .
And i have another question :
Can teenagers like me (17-19) join ESA ?
Sorry if my question was repetitious 🌹🙏
If you have a Master in a relevant field and three years of working experience in that field, you can apply. They say so on their website.
@@hanswurst6680 okay thanks.
For our astronaut position you need to have a Master's degree and three years of experience. For other positions, check our careers website: www.esa.int/About_Us/Careers_at_ESA
@@EuropeanSpaceAgency thanks for answer , i hope i can join 🙂🌹
Did I miss a statement about the length of the motivational letter? I think he did not answer the question when asked, right?
they said "be yourself"...but presumably the letter should be short
I have a question.. Is it necessary to know swimming to be an astronaut?
The answer is yes. Astronauts spend hours in and underwater training and candidates need to know how to swim.
@@EuropeanSpaceAgency Well can't I learn during training? Is it mandatory to know before applying?
🤩❤️☺️
So nice Video

This is my dream. I live in Surimame ..
Greetings from space!
I' m 46 years old. Is it too late to apply?
