Worked there for a few years, about ‘75 to 78 as the photographer on the Gwent Gazette. Lovely people and the big bonus was the rugby side! Arthur Lewis, Paul Ringer, (before Llanelli called with their brown envelope), Clive Burgess, Mike Grindle, one of the best uncapped flankers, Phil Gardiner and centre Alan Tovey. Great times!

My grandfather was raised in Ebbw Vale at this time, grateful I can see what it was like for him back then.
A lot of the architecture was really grand and so much better than what is built today.
