I have a 13PM and will keep it. The 15PM isn’t enough to upgrade. I’ll see what the 16PM will bring next year. I also want to hang on to the physical SIM tray. I currently have 3 different lines on my 13PM. 1 physical SIM and 2 eSIM’s. Yes, I know I can only have 1 eSIM turned on at a time but it’s as easy as touching the enable button. I need all the lines for my job.
Well what’s your take now? The 16 is suppose to have a larger screen? Like a 6.7 or something. I have the 13PM now and I’m really into screen sizes (bigger that is). I almost purchased the 15PM 5 minutes ago until I found out that fact so I think I will wait until September and see if that bigger screen thing is true.

I’m upgrading from a iPhone 13 Pro Max to an iPhone 15 pro max. I switched from Verizon to AT&T and AT&T gave me $1000.00 for my 13 pro max. Very worth the upgrade with that and the specs difference

Currently own the 13MP and it’s a great phone for my personal requirements , battery life is also 94% at present . I thought about upgrading to the 15MP however as with previous models will wait until it’s been out long enough for the reviews about battery life , any quirks and software issues before I make a decision.

I just got the 13 Pro Max a few months ago on eBay and don’t see a reason to upgrade to the 14 or 15 Pro Max. The phone being titanium wouldn’t make a difference to me since I just put a case on it. The 13 seems fast enough for me. I also get good battery that last on the 13.
Agree about the battery life. I’ve had iPhones since iPhone 3gs and by far, 13 PM has had the best battery life. Im curious about the 15PM battery life
@@Heligafarsan yes my battery on my phone when I got it refurbished thru eBay was 89% battery capacity, I got the 512 gigabyte model for $850. It’s still handling like a champ I don’t really care about the dynamic island and always on display which the 14 pro and 15’s have but I plan on probably upgrading when the 16 or 17 pm comes out. I don’t care much about the notch on the iPhones, I’m pretty used to it

I don’t think I’ve ever been excited for a heavy phone, but I remember when the 6 went aluminum and I watched my phone turn into a horseshoe. Same bought 13pm from eBay few days ago, loving the 120hz screen from coming from a 11pm, the speakers are a lot better as well! 🎉 I’ll keep it for a few years
I have a 13 PM and will be upgrading, the camera, USB C, better chip set and slightly more ram is worth it to me not to mention that U2 chip is a game changer. Also getting a good amount back from trading in my phone so it’s not a huge cost in upgrading.
In the same position. With my att plan and trade in it really costs very little to upgrade from my 13PM. Wish there were a few more features and upgrades but it’s going to be a great phone
I’m upgrading from 13 pro and agreed… definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion. My trade in is already on the way out and I’m using my spare 12 mini… super light, but annoyingly boring a device in comparison.
Went from 13pm to 14pm to 15pm and each one was better than the last in more ways that I can say and similar in almost every way it’s strange. I prefer the 15pm to both the others

I believe it’s a good idea to trade in from the 13pm to the 15pm since you may only pay very little… by the time a newer iPhone comes out with different features you can take the same route and trade in the 15pm for what may be the 16pm or ultra
If you got alot of money why not, where as not much change for the amount spent, my opinion if you have a 13 pro max its worth waiting another year otherwise next year or in 11months when a 16 pro max comes out with more advanced tech, you will regret and think maybe i should have waited another 11 months. Always happens cant keep up with the tech.
If you have the 11 pro max it is worth upgrading if you have the money too, if not im sure another year wont harm. Just get the battery changed and you’re good to go for another year.
Tbh not worth upgrading if you have a 13 Pro max due to not much difference. Only wide came is better and chip. Usbc is not the fast transfer usbc port either. Imma give it a miss and wait another 11 more months. Let the tech improve snd be refined so then it will feel like an upgrade! Everybody downing the iPhone 15 is either broke or can’t upgrade. I upgraded to the 15 pro max from 13 pro max and I’m loving this extra glorified iPhone 14 pro max. Might not upgrade for another 2-3 years after this. The iPhone 15 is what’s happening and it’s still the best iPhone regardless of the haters.
It’s worth the upgrade for those who are wondering. Super fast restore process at startup, WiFi connection seems better, camera is noticeably better, and I really like the new action button.
As a photographer I’m so excited to be able to file transfer with USB-C & play with the new lenses. My mirrorless camera has to be setup for work all the time so it’s nice having what’s essentially a pocket sized camera for everyday use
Same here, I figured I should go up to the pro max this time from my 13 pro. I got it in ceramic white, unfortunately it won’t be here until October 20th since that color is in high demand.
Ahh a video tailored to me 😌 my favorite upgrades are the photo camera upgrade, new A17 Chip, and the upgrades storage as well as the fact it looks really good, although this year I’m gonna go with regular Pro, and not the Pro Max
@@erik5645 for me, it’s because when I’m using my 13 Pro Max I find myself using on hand to text or type and the 13 Pro Max is great for texting with both hands holding the phone and using one hand is okay since I can move the keyboard to either side of the screen and I can also reach the top of the screen by activating the reach ability setting but my issue is that to me it feels a bit uncomfortable using my phone like this when I’m only using one hand which I do prefer sometimes and I think if my phone was smaller I’d feel really good and comfortable on my hand, although the downside is that I won’t get the same camera benefits as the pro max but it’s okay, I usually don’t take pictures from a far so I’m okay with it

I had the 12 pro max and got the 13 pro because it was just to heavy. I miss the battery though so this time I’m getting the 15 pro max especially as it should be a lot lighter again!
Can I get a 15 pro vs 13 pro comparison? As someone who likes doing photography and film I am tempted to get the 15 pro cause I don’t like any phone that can’t fit in my pocket but I do want to see if the switch is worth it on your opinion.
Not really worth the upgrade 13 pro max is still a beast, battery life is awesome, super fast still an overkill for any app. With upgrade you just get a 48mpx wide camera while all the others the same. USB-C meh ok about damn time but thats it. Waiting for a bigger jump than paying 1200 for a measly upgrade.
Honestly it’s disappointment 2 years later I can’t see a reason to upgrade from 13PM I do like that it has more ram and a bit more compact though Also what’s up with the doll ugly colours?
Nice review… I always replace my phone every 2 years. Sure you could keep it but the cost of keeping it is the same as replacing it. I love the Blue 13PM but I’m replacing it with Natural Titanium… I’m covering it up with a Pitaka MagEZ Case 5 Moonrise and the new branding looks great with Natural. You can’t resist change… just embrace it
@@citiesexplainedtv it’s simple math… we get a discount by buying a phone with a 2-year agreement for service. You need both to function for personal and business purposes I also get Corporate discounts and BYOD which makes it extremely cheap. If I kept it I would have to buy out an outstanding balance which would essentially equal one more year of what I’m currently paying for the phone and the service would be exactly the same as well. It’s also exactly the same as the trade in value. And it continues to depreciate and lose performance. So there wouldn’t be any value until year 4 for me, any at that point you would need to replace the battery at a minimum, maybe the screen too. Just like a car… once it gets 3-4 years old the maintenance costs increase so you need to pay it off quickly. It can be worth keeping but the performance decreases over time, it’s not as safe to drive etc. If you buy it and pay full price then yes it could have value. But either way you are paying… less performance and higher maintenance costs with older products or just get used to paying a certain amount for a reliable product and service and replace it regularly.
Eh. I have the 13 pro max and I’ll hold off one more year. I don’t like trading in phones so I pay full price for these. Plus I wanna see if we get thunderbolt, better telephoto, better battery life and the potential of an iPhone ultra

Will NOT upgrading from my 13 PM at this time . It is basically the same phone . I will consider when iPhone 17 - 18 comes around. RAM might be 16or 32 by then, though for that I have iPod and imax, do I really need computer features in iPhone? Nah ! If I need a professional camera , I have a professional camera. Iphone with all the Features will not make me look professional and clients will not take me seriously.
I have the 13 pm. Just upgraded to 15pm . I might return the 15. Screen is bigger in 13pm. 13 more durable. 15 usbc won’t work with my apple car play. I had to buy $30 anker cord usb3.0 to usbc for 15pm. Water proofing gaskets better on more solid phone (13pm)
I always do every 3 years I got the 13 so now I’ll get the 16 I find 3 years to be a nice gap between models to actually notice a difference in the models
The innovation is the OIS under the telephoto lens what even Android manufacturers can't even offer you, regardless they are using the higher zoom options longer like this new device.. also you can call that to innovation, if this small sized phone is capable to run the brand new AAA games what is required a PS5 console for example.. (4 AAA games already announced..), the innovation also when you can offer 7-8 years software updates for your users, if they paid they are not throwed away in 3 years.. (imagine if you buy a new Android they started to offer 4-5 years for the new device, but the old device is still just 3 years, so only 2 device can cover this same 7-8 years period..) etc..
@@xrated179 only you pay more for the same.. Apple did not even increased their price since 2017... their iPhone X (6") was $999 in 2017, and their iPhone 15 Pro (also 6") still $999 in 2023.. By the way Apple still put the same 5G, 120Hz display, better cameras, faster storage, faster chip etc improvements like the others.. but Samsung raised from $749 to $1199 in the same time period..

Here’s the thing , i love my 13pm , but got to keep up with the pricing , sell used one , pay a bit more and get the 15 PM , different then waiting for the 16 PM and selling my 13 pm for less!
Probably not upgrading my iPhone 8 this year. It had its first replacement battery a few months ago and performs literally like new but with the latest firmware. Yes, I’d like the new 15 Pro Max or just Pro to fit my pockets better but why? My 8 does the job and if I specifically want to photograph prefer to use a dedicated camera, of which I have several plus lenses to choose from. So the upgrade can wait another year or two. My wife’s 7 Plus on the other hand needs a new battery and she uses it as her only device when travelling. Since she is going to a wedding in the Emirates next April, I think she deserves an upgrade. She carries hers in a purse or bag, so a bigger screen is actually desirable for her use and the cameras will be put to good use. No hurry though. February ’24 will be soon enough.
What an awesome mindset! Treat your wife to the new iphone 15 pink colour or a iphone 15 pro as it has better camera. And as for yourself im sure snother 11 months more wont hurt your iphone 8. Then you can upgrade yourself, hopefully by then the tech on the phones get even more better. I just cant keep up with these phones. You by something being the latest and the next year it becomes old and something new comes out haha.

At over $1000 a pop, they really should last ten years, when depreciation alone will exceed $100/year, plus usage fees on top. I’m out to get as much value from them as practical. I could say ‘for the sake of the planet’ but that wouldn’t be true. Fact is, if it does the job well enough, I’m happy. Same here. Maybe it's just me but the odd number iPhones feel like the old S year upgrades which is when I would upgrade to a new phone anyway.

Everybody downing the iPhone 15 is either broke or can’t upgrade. I upgraded to the 15 pro max from 13 pro max and I’m loving this extra glorified iPhone 14 pro max. Might not upgrade for another 2-3 years after this. The iPhone 15 is what’s happening and it’s still the best iPhone regardless of the haters.
After switching i will admit i was skeptical but the 15 definitely does have a faster overall performance and feel to it
It’s worth the upgrade for those who are wondering. Super fast restore process at startup, WiFi connection seems better, camera is noticeably better, and I really like the new action button.

As a photographer I’m so excited to be able to file transfer with USB-C & play with the new lenses. My mirrorless camera has to be setup for work all the time so it’s nice having what’s essentially a pocket sized camera for everyday use

@@erik5645 for me, it’s because when I’m using my 13 Pro Max I find myself using on hand to text or type and the 13 Pro Max is great for texting with both hands holding the phone and using one hand is okay since I can move the keyboard to either side of the screen and I can also reach the top of the screen by activating the reach ability setting but my issue is that to me it feels a bit uncomfortable using my phone like this when I’m only using one hand which I do prefer sometimes and I think if my phone was smaller I’d feel really good and comfortable on my hand, although the downside is that I won’t get the same camera benefits as the pro max but it’s okay, I usually don’t take pictures from a far so I’m okay with it

Can I get a 15 pro vs 13 pro comparison? As someone who likes doing photography and film I am tempted to get the 15 pro cause I don’t like any phone that can’t fit in my pocket but I do want to see if the switch is worth it on your opinion.

Not really worth the upgrade 13 pro max is still a beast, battery life is awesome, super fast still an overkill for any app. With upgrade you just get a 48mpx wide camera while all the others the same. USB-C meh ok about damn time but thats it. Waiting for a bigger jump than paying 1200 for a measly upgrade.

I love the Blue 13PM but I’m replacing it with Natural Titanium… I’m covering it up with a Pitaka MagEZ Case 5 Moonrise and the new branding looks great with Natural.

@@citiesexplainedtv it’s simple math… we get a discount by buying a phone with a 2-year agreement for service. You need both to function for personal and business purposes
I also get Corporate discounts and BYOD which makes it extremely cheap. If I kept it I would have to buy out an outstanding balance which would essentially equal one more year of what I’m currently paying for the phone and the service would be exactly the same as well.
It’s also exactly the same as the trade in value. And it continues to depreciate and lose performance. So there wouldn’t be any value until year 4 for me, any at that point you would need to replace the battery at a minimum, maybe the screen too.
Just like a car… once it gets 3-4 years old the maintenance costs increase so you need to pay it off quickly. It can be worth keeping but the performance decreases over time, it’s not as safe to drive etc.
If you buy it and pay full price then yes it could have value. But either way you are paying… less performance and higher maintenance costs with older products or just get used to paying a certain amount for a reliable product and service and replace it regularly.

Will NOT upgrading from my 13 PM at this time . It is basically the same phone . I will consider when iPhone 17 - 18 comes around. RAM might be 16or 32 by then, though for that I have iPod and imax, do I really need computer features in iPhone? Nah !

Give it two pixels more make it lighter, call it innovative and charge them 1k for the good one
The innovation is the OIS under the telephoto lens what even Android manufacturers can't even offer you, regardless they are using the higher zoom options longer like this new device.. also you can call that to innovation, if this small sized phone is capable to run the brand new AAA games what is required a PS5 console for example.. (4 AAA games already announced..), the innovation also when you can offer 7-8 years software updates for your users, if they paid they are not throwed away in 3 years.. (imagine if you buy a new Android they started to offer 4-5 years for the new device, but the old device is still just 3 years, so only 2 device can cover this same 7-8 years period..) etc..

@@xrated179 only you pay more for the same.. Apple did not even increased their price since 2017... their iPhone X (6") was $999 in 2017, and their iPhone 15 Pro (also 6") still $999 in 2023.. By the way Apple still put the same 5G, 120Hz display, better cameras, faster storage, faster chip etc improvements like the others.. but Samsung raised from $749 to $1199 in the same time period..

Probably not upgrading my iPhone 8 this year. It had its first replacement battery a few months ago and performs literally like new but with the latest firmware. Yes, I’d like the new 15 Pro Max or just Pro to fit my pockets better but why? My 8 does the job and if I specifically want to photograph prefer to use a dedicated camera, of which I have several plus lenses to choose from. So the upgrade can wait another year or two. My wife’s 7 Plus on the other hand needs a new battery and she uses it as her only device when travelling. Since she is going to a wedding in the Emirates next April, I think she deserves an upgrade. She carries hers in a purse or bag, so a bigger screen is actually desirable for her use and the cameras will be put to good use. No hurry though. February ’24 will be soon enough.
What an awesome mindset! Treat your wife to the new iphone 15 pink colour or a iphone 15 pro as it has better camera. And as for yourself im sure snother 11 months more wont hurt your iphone 8. Then you can upgrade yourself, hopefully by then the tech on the phones get even more better. I just cant keep up with these phones. You by something being the latest and the next year it becomes old and something new comes out haha.

Yes, they are like London buses. Miss one and there will be several others along soon enough. My 8 has just had its sixth birthday and I’m going for a record [for me] seven years good use. At over $1000 a pop, they really should last ten years, when depreciation alone will exceed $100/year, plus usage fees on top. I’m out to get as much value from them as practical. I could say ‘for the sake of the planet’ but that wouldn’t be true. Fact is, if it does the job well enough, I’m happy. I’d rather spend my discretionary money on dedicated cameras and lenses, and peripherals to match and enhance the iPhone, such as iMac, iPad and [yet to commit but wife has one] Watch,
