My hair has gotten thicker and silkier. No split ends. No dry spots on my skin. Age > 50 no wrinkles no make up. My sister has thinning hair, so I bought 300 cans of sardines from Costco (on sale) to share with her, but she refuses to eat them. Now, I eat sardines all day, at work, at home, and I just love the convenience. Put inside my backpack and go anywhere. I saved so much money, and they keep me healthy.

Coming from a country where fresh sardines are abundant, I can assure you that dishes prepared with fresh sardines are the most delicious. I am from Morocco and here we rarely eat canned sardine. In the summer season, sardine is even more delicious and full of its natural oil ie full of omega 3. If you ever happen to come to Morocco as a tourist in the summer, I recommed you look for street food for grilled sardine you won't ever forget the experience

Funny story, at work everyday at about 4:30 or so I used to go to the main kitchen and eat a can of Sardines as my afternoon protein snack. I was diagnosed with RA in my 40's, then PMR at 62. I was put on Prednisone for my PMR and methotrexate for my RA. 17 months later I discovered Keto and got off Prednisone in 3 months, but remained on methotrexate because every time I tried to taper off I got pain in my hands and wrists. After 6 months on Keto I managed to drop a little but progress was slow. I had tried Glucosamine · Chondroitin in my 40's and it did nothing so I wasn't going to try that again. I read that sardines were good for joint pain so I bought a case. I ate one tin a day and in 30 days was able to drop some more and was seeing good progress, then, in December of 2018 Dr. Berry said he was going to do this carnivore thing, so I followed his lead. In mid January of 2019 I began a rapid taper and was off Methotrexate in 2 weeks, with no pain. My RA pain is a thing of the past.

    Two over easy eggs
A can of sardines in water
    I make a healthy sauce:
A dollop of nonfat plain Greek yogurt
    A pickle wedge chopped
Ad some of the brine, about a tablespoon
Hot sauce (I use Carolina reaper because I like it very spicy
    Mix it it up
    A piece of sourdough toast
    Eggs first on the toast
    Then the mashed up sardines

    Sprinkle on some fresh chives
    A squeeze of lemon
    Some Molden salt
    Mange! 😋

I'd eat them, just because they have a great effect on my satiety alone. Sardines and liver for some reason, complete shut down my usually insatiable hunger.
Hard to find them in brine here, though. Usually have to buy frozen, because the canned ones are always in oil. And even if it's labelled 'extra vergin olive oil'...I don't trust that. I'll only use olive oil from specific, reputable manufacturers... because everything else is likely not pure olive oil or tainted in some other way.

I like them on my home baked sourdough toast with some pickled onion, with mustard on a cracker or over greens, in tomato sauce over pasta. Always bones and skin, the entire sardine. I wish that I could buy "fresh", but here in NW Montana, I have not been able to find fresh., but I have lots of options of tinned in water. Another way to eat them (I don't eat Keto so sorry if this is not compliant...) is in egg salad: hard boiled egg, Primal Kitchen or homemade mayo, sardines, some mustard and whatever spices you enjoy ... YUM!

I want to thank you Dr. Ken for all of your informative videos. I have learned quite a bit from your videos. I wish we had more educated doctors here in my area of Oregon. I have learned more from you and other doctors I have found on you tube, than all the doctors I rarely have to go see in person. (Thank the Lord for that). What a blessing you all are, (and I'm talking about you doctors on You tube). I was coming off of a 22 hour fast and ate sardines in water for the very first time. It actually grossed me out, but I knew they were very good for me, and I was hungry, so I ate them. Can't say I enjoyed it. I will add some condiments the next time and I will continue to eat my sardines when I first come off of my fast. By the way, you are so funny, and you have a beautiful family! You truly are blessed. Thank you again, and God Bless.

@@skylarbix7912 Is there a problem using sardines in olive oil or hot sauce when this diet is considered high fat low carb.?

I've been eating whole canned sardines for years and love them

Dr. Berry, how do the herring fillets compare to sardines? The same brand brunswick. I think they have skin on but they come boneless. It's been a long time since I had sardines and I dont recall liking them much but those kippered and golden smoked herring are tasty as heck. I will go try sardines again and I'm gonna keep a look out for fresh sardines also. Thank You.

I had no idea that sardines were this good for you! A few cans is actually enough to fill you up, even before beds just scarfing down a couple of cans of this fish I don't feel guilty eating! This is awesome, and I find them delicious. Much more than tuna that's for sure

Mackerel has a very similar nutritional profile but much more pleasant to eat. Close to tuna in flavor and texture

I love hot sauce, wasabi, mustard, mayo, and my go to combo these days is mixed bowl of chopped kimchi, hot sauce, black pepper and sardines. It's a great combo. Love this guy speaking my language and addressing all my concerns with tainted olive oil these days. Hard to trust any olive oil anymore

Mom used to pack em in my lunch when I was bailing hay on my dad's cattle ranch. When I got home it was t bone steaks or roasts. We also ate fresh bass and crappie from the cow ponds.

I've started eating sardines. I don't like looking at them, but taste is good. I have a pickle and garlic olive with a couple of cans everyday. They do keep you full. Health benefit. I do olive oil packed.
