    Grumpy old man here . I have done a zillion valve jobs . Great video . The more valve jobs you do ,the more you realize tips and tricks . My only advice is to carry on and enjoy doing cylinder head work .

    Good video. The Neway tools are outstanding. Sure, they cost a bit but it's well worth it. The cheapo stuff I've tried has a different pilot setup that wobbles in the guide and creates terrible seats and the valves don't want to seal. They also tend to chatter no matter what you do and produce an awful seat surface. Neway gives you a quality, concentric seat angle every time once you learn to use them.

      @@WalkerSmallEnginePerformance Ty 🙏🏻. Yes I agree . I still lap the valves to assure they seal . I’ve learned a great deal since that video and know exactly where to place my 45. It takes a lot of practice to really understand how to cut the seats, but despite me learning and knowing as much as I do, I’m still learning and will for as long as I live.

      @@WalkerSmallEnginePerformance lol same ! I’ve ruined big valve heads ! Best way to learn is on the predator heads . Once you know you got it forsure then go to big valve heads . Wish I would have done it that way . But I did learn .

    what bits do you use for porting/polishing

      I use the ones from Amazon . They work very well . I can’t remember the name off the bat but I’m sure that u can search on Amazon for the size u need.

      @@Greybuiltracing I got my set of carbide dremel bits off amazon myself. Worked very well and were decent price. I'm sure they'll wear out quick but for my head they did pretty well. I did a light non aggressive port and very light polish on exhaust and combust chamber to keep soot down. Still learning...THANKS for video!

      I usually charge about 80 for both the intake and exhaust . Also do a intake port match

      Neway recommendations for "Soft seats" is to use Neway cutting fluid to help reduce chatter and improve finish. For hard seats increase cutter head pressure, no "cutting oil" is recommended by Neway.
