Hello! I have yet to do my first tumbler but excited to try. Got a couple of questions. First, why put a quick coat on the words if you are going to seal it with a second coat of epoxy? Second, why not tape the top edge within the tumbler so you don't have to take the knife to scrape off the access epoxy and/or paint? Looking forward to your answers. - Anette
Hey there. Quick coat is to have the vinyl adhere to the tumbler better. A lot of times when epoxying over the vinyl, the vinyl will lift from the tumbler. Also, if you tape off the top of the tumbler, when you epoxy, the epoxy will stick to the tape, causing the tape to stick to the tumbler and it will be stuck to the tumbler. You will have to exacto knife again but you will have to cut off more materials.
Love it!! ❤

Beautiful work!!
Can this be done on powder coated tumblers?
I don’t believe so. I think the epoxy work repel. Unless you sand down the powder coat first.
Beautiful! Did you epoxy before adding decals?
I did not. I went right in with adding the decal after my epoxy and inks were dried/cured.

What's the font?
I don’t know. I found this design from Cricut Design Space. It was pre made.
