This is great for us, we´re a small growing company with a bunch of customers. We´re just getting to the point where a mashup of excel, whatsap and word is not cutting it and Notion would be a good solution. These kind of step by step videos are perfect for us because they show me how to resolve all of those little issues - Thanks !!
Thank you for your high quality sharing, Danny! :) ...my addition: if in the name-field there are just numbers, you couldent re-import the data corretly - the name-field is often blank.. so you have to write eg "Pos 1" instad of just "1"
Hello. I have a dropdown on my Excel Sheet. But why is it if I import to my Notion, it only shows the selected choice on the dropdown, and other choices was not copied? Please help me with this. Thank you.
I hope they introduce Spreadsheets as well. The more we use Notion as an all around productivity hub, it s absolutely necessary to have at least a minimum spreadsheet functionality.
@@DannyHatcherTech Can we add a number from one database to the number in another database? Or add the values of one database and showing result in the cell of another database?
The copy-paste did not work for me from MS Excel to Notion. Nothing happened when I pressed Ctrl+V or right + paste. Do you know the solution for this?
@@DannyHatcherTech Thanks for the answer. I found a different solution. In my excel table several cells were merged. When I left out those, there was no problem. Sorry for the confusion.
If you want to learn how to embed specific pages of a PDF in Notion check out this video next: th-cam.com/video/C_zGPHWOFCQ/w-d-xo.html

To be honest this is so long ago I don't remember sorry.
I also don't use Notion anymore - moved to Obsidian 2+ years ago.

Glad I could help 😁

Notion looks at the cell information, not the metadata
@@DannyHatcherTech Is there a workaround for it?
@@DannyHatcherTech Cause I have 130+ Columns, and all of it has a dropdown.
Is it possible to edit bulk property type?
You can change the property in Notion to a select after the text import.
@@DannyHatcherTech Ok. Thanks.

I moved to Obsidian 2 years ago and link my spreadsheet in there.
When you change in notion the excel change too?
No, they are not 2 way synced, just embedded.
Importing or copy excel is not importing the formulae as well... how can we do that?
Excel formulas use a different syntax to Notion so don't think those columns will get imported.

Super helpful. Thanks :)
Glad it is useful. 😁

I believe the recently updated database may have prevented this functionality, unfortunately.

@@zenonn87 ah, yeah that would be it 😁
Would this work for Google sheets as well?
Yes, I believe so.
