Can't believe you left Santa Claus the movie, The Rise of the Guardians, Arthur Christmas, Call me Claus and Santa Paws off the list. As all of them are brilliant christmas movies.
Klaus is genuinely one of the most phenomenal work of art to come out of any studio. Good at any time of year. The depth of character, the stunning animation, the original take on a classic story, and the emotion behind it all. It is the greatest thing ever
I love Jim Carrey so much but Michael Caine is THE perfect Scrooge and I love how his seriousness holds up even when he is surrounded by the Muppets. Not even Patrick Stewart version can compare and that says a lot.
I just saw Red One today. Its my new favorite Christmas movie. Although, the classics I grew up with will never be truly dethroned. Elf, Nightmare before Christmas, and Jim Careys The Grinch will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
Love you Kris!!! We all say in unison while waking from our depression and loneliness of the holidays as she makes us all happy for the next 56 minutes and 39 seconds
Me seeing Kris putting Elf: Mom! Come here! She put the movie you were in! My mom: Yay! For context: My mom was in the scene where Will Ferrel was in the window of a store, if you look in the reflection of the window, you will see the reflection of a white jacket. Every time we watch the movie, my mom points it out saying "That's me! That's my white jacket!"
Fun Fact: Peter Billingsley (who played Ralphie in A Christmas Story) played one of the elves in Elf (specifically the one in the head of the toymaking department that sent Buddy to the special elf toy testing)

It's a wonderful life, white Christmas, and the original miracle on 34th Street were the traditional movies in our house. My favorite is It's a Wonderful Life.
Nightmare before Christmas is a Christmas movie!! 🎄and I completely forgot about the Barbie movies! That one was my favorite as a kid! Your video was a blast from the past!! Loved it, Kris!
The reason I love polar Express is because every year my mom and dad let us watch it on Christmas Eve every year, and give us hot chocolate when they get hot chocolate in the movie. Although it is not my favorite Christmas movie.
Exactly because to me a Christmas movie is absolutely a Christmas movie if you take a Christmas out of it and it doesn't really make sense... You take Christmas out of that movie and you don't have a movie. It's like there've been discussions over what I consider my favorite Christmas movie, Gremlins but the reason Gizmo ended up where he did in the first place was because the father was looking for a Christmas gift and a lot of the gags were reliant on the fact that it was Christmas. That's why I think there's discourse over Die hard or Edward scissorhands because if you took Christmas out it could still work, like it could be an office party for them landing a big contract or New Year's or a retirement party, and Edward scissorhands is sort of over an entire year and one small section is Christmas so technically you could remove the Christmas from both and it would still work, especially because the whole sculpture/snow part isn't as much related to Christmas as it is winter and it can be winter without it being Christmas.
It came out in October and the director has said it is a Halloween movie, I personally think it's more of a Halloween movie, but I always watch it in November.
No one really cares, happy holidays is to be more tolerant to people who might not celebrate Christmas, but all my Jewish friends just say thank you to merry Christmas. Say whatever you want.
But Aurelia in Love Actually speaks Portuguese, not French and you literally forgot to mention Martin Freeman and Thomas Brodie-Sangster (the little boy) who has had a huge career since then and literally had a major role in Game Of Thrones and is an amazing voice actor. Fun fact: he is the voice of Ferb from Disney series Phineas And Ferb. His love interest and later girlfriend in the show is, drum roll, the girl from Love Actually that his character was in love with!!! ❤
I love the Rankin-Bass stop motion Christmas specials but my fav of all time will always be the animated Grinch with Boris Karloff doing the narration. 💗
You missed Santa Claus the movie from 1985 with Dudley Moore, John Lithgow and David Huddleston as Santa, I grew up with this film. Very nostalgic for me, it gives all the feels ❤
I know people praise “Elf” but truthfully I cannot stand it 😵💫 in general I just don’t like Will Ferrell movies, not in my humor lane. The older classics are the ones I’ll watch more often. “The Year Without a Santa Claus” as one of the older stop motion films is stupendous and also has its humorous moments…underrated as heck.
A Christmas Story will always be my favorite. I love watching it with my dad. He cracks up every time! Second for me is National Lampoons. Chevy Chase and the outside lights! 😂
Kris… so many of the youngsters don’t even ‘get’ the stop motion but they bring fond memories and I absolutely LOVE them 💯❤️ Merry Christmas to Kris and everyone !!🎄
I grew up with them and I've always loved them ^^ watching all the stop motion movies on Christmas Eve is a family tradition, then we watched a very specific version of Christmas Carol, the one with Alastair Sim because that version is my mom's favorite one
I like that I walked out of the room to get a drink and completely missed that Die Hard was in fact on this list. I had to watch the video again to catch it. My faith is restored. I'm 100% with the 'Love Actually'. Watch it every year. Gonna leave now before I make a fool of myself again! Merry (early) Christmacha to you folks!

I agree, but I always watch it in early November, because it leans more a Halloween movie. It came out in October, and the Director has said it is a Halloween movie.
White Christmas is my all time nostalgic winner! Back when TV only had 3 or 4 channels, you only got one chance per year, usually on Christmas Eve to watch it... And every year I would watch it with my parents and sister.... They have all passed, but White Christmas takes me right back those great memories!
So I realized that my new recently made favorite Christmas movie is The Man who Invented Christmas. It's amazing and it's the story of how Dickens created Scrooge. Also Scrooged is one of my all-time favorites! Polar Express is considered a horror movie among my people! Merry Christmas to you Kris and Caleb!!
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is one of my favorites. And Home Alone 2 which i think is better than first one Also you should really check out Tokyo Godfathers. It is an awesome animated Christmas movie by the guy who made Paprika and Perfect Blue
Kris, I VERY nearly spit my chicken curry across my desk when you started singing the Whoville song! On a side note, you are one the very few who can actually pull off a GOOD Christopher Walkin. It's Phenomenal!! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
51:54 I LOVE the Christmas story. It is a tradition in myfamily to watch Christmas story every Christmas day. That is the only movie you didn't pick... that and Home Alone second round but that is understandable.
Same, I think it's the best version because it sticks to the story pretty faithfully but is entertaining. I've seen a lot of entertaining ones that didn't quite stick to the story like Scrooged, and I've seen a lot of versions that stuck very closely to the story but were very boring, including the Disney version which I saw in New York City at the premiere and was fighting to stay awake... It's a little weird to me that she was weirded out by the animation for The polar Express but not for the Disney Christmas Carol because to me they are very similar in that uncanny Valley motion capture way.
@@blissfullycat02I agree, not a huge fan of Jim Carey Christmas Carol or Polar express because of animation. I think Kris is just really big Jim Carey fan lol he should have stopped at the Grinch who stole Christmas.

I adored this video. I’m a college student and working a full time job, and it’s been tough to get into the holiday spirit, but watching this made my night, and made the 12 hour travel so much better.
Ahhh Kris I love ya! Bing Crosby and Johnny Depp are the GOAT! Dad ya dissed Rudolph, but as a fellow Canadian I’ll forgive ya. Love Actually….cried all the way through. That movie is PERFECTION. Black Christmas is a classic, which was banned for a long time, so that is an automatic win in my eyes lol. Christmas Vacation is my fave, watch it every year (shitter’s full). Bummed ya didn’t add Bad Santa, obnoxious and rude. A beautiful Xmas story. 😂 Anyways, hope you guys have an amazing holiday, the snow missed you. ❤️
Absolutely love that you did the grinch for the first one, it’s my family tradition to watch it every Christmas Eve and personally love the good ol first, animation ❤ my nana started that tradition and she passed away this year so it brings me so much joy when I see that movie
I don’t have a favorite Christmas movie because my taste changes every year. A new one that I like is Violent Night. As the title suggests, it is violent. However, it has some funny parts too. White Christmas is very special to me. I love the singing and dancing. Danny Kaye was an amazing actor. Like Jim Carrey, his physical comedy was stellar. Thanks for a fun episode. Merry Christmas to you and Caleb.❤
My fiancé's family insisted that I HAD to see White Christmas last year- they were right! Such an incredible movie! I don't care for older movies, but that one is something special. Same with Miracle on 34th Street!! We watched the original black and white this year- big fan! Merry Christmas to you and your family, Kris! ❤️
So cool you really love the shows I grew up with: Santa Clause is Coming to Town and Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. Amazing how those shows cross generational lines despite the rudimentary stop motion filming. I love those Christmas specials! Waited every year for them to come on TV. ❤
I'd have to go with The Santa Clause. Plus all of the sequels and the TV show they made after were ALL good, in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of Martin Short and him playing Jack Frost just makes my heart happy. Merry Christmas, Kris!
KRIS!! If you want a new Christmas movie to watch, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend holidays in handcuffs. It is one of my favorite Christmas movies ever. I think you would rlly like it. (ALSO, I went to see a white Christmas exhibit near by me and saw the sisters dresses irl and it was amazing)
A great selection Kris, for me there were a few which I would have included: "The Snowman" 1982 animation, "The Bishop's Wife" 1947, "Scrooged" 1988, "A Christmas Carol/Scrooge" 1951. Otherwise your choices were great. I hope that you and your loved ones have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, all the very best for 2025!
My list for annual watches are Die hard, Grinch 1966, Home Alone, Santa Clause. While my mom's top two would probably be It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas.
Kris, if you haven’t seen it, you definitely need to watch A Year Without A Santa Clause! It’s a stop motion type tv special as well. Definitely one of my top favorites!
Violent Night is one of my new favorites! Stars David Harbour and John Leguizamo. Santa’s back story is that he’s been Santa since the end of his Viking warrior days. He ends up having to save a family from thieves/terrorists. Check it out. Also “Rise of the Guardians”, an animated feel good movie where Jack Frost is offered a position as a guardian and finds out how he became Jack Frost. This is is another good movie.
My favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Carol" (1984) with George C Scott. The whole cast is phenomenal. It's always so powerful watching Ebebezer's redemption. Also adore "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and "Scroogrd."
"White Christmas" has been one of my favorite Christmas movies as well. I also have told people that "Die Hard" is my favorite Christmas movie, lol. "The best things happen when you are dancing."
When I lived in Arizona, I would go to a puppet show. For adults. Not for kids. The puppets had foul mouths cause “puppets don’t care”. They did Die Hard: The Christmas Story every year. If you’re ever in the Phoenix area, highly recommend seeing a show at All Puppets Players. One summer they held a really great series that was very reminiscent of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I have to add that the first show I went to of theirs was using VetTix and they performed 50 Shades of Felt.
The 1998 ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer: the movie’ and Annabelle’s Wish were literally my favorite movies for Christmas growing up. We watched them every year, and now that I have littles we continue to watch them every year. Some of the least talked about Christmas movies 😂
I have to say I'm proud of they way she handled all the movies in the rankings. Easy to rile folks' feathers across generations when talk turns to Christmas movies! One 1970s-era Christmas special not mentioned (along with other made-for-TV specials like Rudolph and Frosty) was Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas, which was a Jim Henson production. Was made for HBO, IIRC.
MY LORD KRIS IS BLESSING US WITH AN ALMOST AN HOUR VIDEO THANK YOU KRIS WE SAY IN UNISON ❤️💚 also: literally anyone can argue me on this but I’ll stand by this, The Nightmare Before Christmas is the #1 Christmas/ Halloween movie of all time. No joke this year I watched it 15 times before march. So yeah, it is by far my favorite movie of all time, followed by Coraline/ The Hunchback Of Notre Dame and the Corpse Bride/ My Neighbor Totoro soooo yeah that sums up my childhood
Muppets Christmas will always be my favorite, hands down. It got me through years of seasonal depression. Also, Michael Caine did the best Scrooge in that movie. When he was asked to play Scrooge, Caine agreed that he would, but only if he could do it as seriously as he would with people, instead of Muppets. No winks at the camera, goofiness…just, well, Scrooginess. Wish it had made it further up in the rankings.
I can't believe you didn't mention Scrooged with Bill Murray. That's my absolute favorite Christmas movie. It's such a good twist on the Christmas Carol trope
I am a tiny bit disappointed that you forgot to put in the absolute bangers of Christmas movies “The Year Without A Santa Claus”, and “ ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas”. Cute and wholesome movies. Watched them every single year for Christmas without fail. Love them to bits 10000/10 would highly recommend giving them a watch ❤️. Merry Christmas everyone!!🎄
“Merry Christmas or happy holidays- or whatever the hell you wanna hear I don’t know anymore” 😂😂😂

Kris, you have to include the Family Stone.... another great Christmas movie- Diane Keaton is amazing
1. Bad Santa - Mrs Santa’s sister 😂
2. Violent Night
3. Die Hard
Me liking the video before even watching it because it's Kris and I know it will slay.
My favorite Christmas Carol movie is Mickey's Christmas Carol from 1983. I watched it every year as a kid and I love it.
I've always loved that one!
A great selection Kris, for me there were a few which I would have included:
"The Snowman" 1982 animation,
"The Bishop's Wife" 1947,
"Scrooged" 1988,
"A Christmas Carol/Scrooge" 1951.
This was hard...but christmas vacation ...always has first place in my heart..I know it word for word..love it..merry Christmas!
Merry Krismas 👉👉
I have many favorite Christmas movies, BUT
I watched" It's Wonderful Life" for the first time last year and I cried at the end.
AN HOUR-LONG KRIS VIDEO!!!! I LOVE IT ❤❤❤🎉🎉
Kris, if you haven’t seen it, you definitely need to watch A Year Without A Santa Clause!
My favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Carol" (1984) with George C
Scott.
The Holiday and Love Actually are the first 2 movies I watch during Christmas season.
A Christmas Carol scared me when I was younger, like why the Frick were children under his coat!
Merry Christmas, Kris and Caleb and all your fur babies. 🎄💕🎄🎁💕🎁
Missed oppurtunity for THE barbie christmas movie aka barbies christmas carol!!, no but on a serious note this was a great video.
