    This is really nice to watch.
    This locomotive comes from Norway and i have many hours reparation and maintenance on it. The Norwegian number is not there any more but the color is the same.

    The tracks haven't been renovated in god knows how long(in the Balkans).The maximum speed that a train can drive here is between 90 km and 120 km.

    the reliability of those emd locomotives (the rescue locomotive as you noted) were crazy that they decided to renovate and keep them even to this day, those nsb di3 locomotive are notorious for derailing, brake failure and engine failure tho they served their purpose :) (if im not wrong there are 0 di3 locomotives used today as most of the time i see them at the train depot being used for spare parts, maybe theyre also used for freight but idk)

    Thanks for sharing. I traveled from Skopje to Kosovo by road in 2014 and it was a memorable experience. I was studying the Islamic population of this part of the world and I liked a couple of pictures of mosques in Kosovo in this video along the way. What a beautiful landscape.

    I think the EU have been putting money into reviving trains in the Balkans which is a great idea-saw that in Nth Macedonia a few years back with the re opening of the line between Bitola and Skopje.
    Last year I wanted to take the train from Vlora to Durres again but sadly its no longer in service,first time I travelled between those 2 cities in 2016 a 3 hr trip cost about 1 GBP.

      Oh nice! :) Thank yo for your answer. When the train left Skopje? This summer we go to Podgorica for 22 days and we would like to travel few. From Podgorica, we take a train to Belgrade. We spend some days in Belgrade and then we take a train to go to Skopje for one day (we come on the morning and we spend the day in a small village called Negotino) in the evening we have a train to Pristina (3days) and from Pristina I'm looking for informations! Can you help me? We would like to go to Sarajevo or to come back to Podgorica. If we go to Sarajevo, we will need informations to go to Dubrovnik and then come back to Podgorica. If we stayed in Podgorica, we will go to Shkoder (Albania) and to the beach in Kotor to have fun with kayak,... We are two young belgian of 17 years old. ;) Thank you again ;)

    They should renovate and expand the train service. It can revive Kosova's industry and create a clean, and sustainable county.

      They are currently modernizing (and allegedly electrifying) the line between the border with Serbia and the border with Macedonia so they are starting to revive Kosovo’s rail network. There’s also a planned railway link to Albania

    The railway and every public thing there was constructed by yugoslav and serb engineers. It was done in the time of Yugoslavia, but never reconstructed. The local citizens never did anything but destroying everything. Now the USA and EU should construct the new railway system so the citizens can crush and destroy It as they did with the old one also. This poor and narco state Will Be Always in ruins.

      @TheKs94 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kosovars don‘t use trains. It‘s such a small country that it doesn‘t make sense, that‘s why no rehabilitation project was ever planned
      One thing that we shouldn‘t pretend however is that the railways would look better if Serbia was in charge. Look at south and east Serbia, it‘s a wasteland and now even poorer than Kosovo. Also, Serbia didn‘t care about Kosovo when they were administrating it, what makes you think they would invest in a region where Albanians make up the overwhelming majority of the population. Serbia and Serbs only care for their chauvinist dreams and slogans, nothing more.
