That last Warlock deck was something else. As for why the extra Dreadsteeds came back after Umbra got silenced, when they enter their Deathrattle triggers, putting a delayed trigger at the next EoT, to summon another Dreadsteed. So even when you silence Umbra, those triggers are already set up. So when they re-etb at the end of the previous turn, triggers are set up for the next EoT... At least I think that's how it's working. With HS I never really am certain.
Yeah you’re right I think the idea is that when the dreadsteed is summoned, its deathrattle triggers. Period. At that point it doesn’t matter where umbra is or if she’s even alive on board. The deathrattle has triggered and dreadsteed will resummon at end of turn no matter what
The only weird thing is that in most cases, end of turn effects that are summoned by end of turn effects usually don't trigger (think Vargoth resurrecting Vargoth, or G'Huun into G'Huun) I think because Dreadsteed is end of each turn rather than end of your turn it pushed it to Roffle's turn?
@@mikef5951 It seems like you were confused by two different things here. The End of Turn "step" first checks everything in play *once* (as well as effects like Dreadsteed) to see what should trigger, then triggers those effects in order. This means that something that is put into play during the End of Turn "step" will not cause a new check for what should trigger that during that End of Turn "step" (a Vargoth that was summoned during EoT will not cast a spell etc.) What happens with Dreadsteed is that it is resummoned and then due to Umbra a new "End of Turn: Summon a Dreadsteed" is put into effect. But since the End of Turn has already begun, the new effect is forced to wait for the next End of Turn to trigger.
@@geasslelouch Doesnt matter if a card is expensive. Hunter playstyle needs to be proactive. If not then theh lose their control and most likely the match
Can I say that I liked the dreadstead deck that you played against? Bad vs Aggro but it is nice not to see meta decks facing each other. Like the (attempted Reliquary Shaman) a few games back.
Dreadsteed resummons itself at the end of turn, so they get summoned at the end of turn, then their deathrattle from umbra triggers next end of turn. Thats why 3 more appeared even after you silenced umbra.
My favorite deck I’ve ever created and the most fun I’ve ever had is Abominable Bowman and King Krush. I made this deck myself and I used to play it in standard before the cards transitioned into wild. I have never seen anyone else make this deck and my opponents didn’t know how to beat me. I’ve beat so many strong opponents with this deck. The entire idea of the deck is to have King Krush die, then summon him over and over with Abominable Bowman. King Krush being the only beast in your deck. You add a lot of deathrattle manipulation cards into your deck like play dead, reign terror and other similar cards. You overwhelm your opponent with endless king Krush’s. I even beat resurrection Priest with this deck on numerous occasions. Definitely give this a try.
That Dreadsteed Warlock has my deepest admiration:) Btw it all went accordingly. When Dreadsteed is summoned during End Phase and Umbra triggers it, it will wait until the next "beginning of end of turn" to summon another, thats why during the next end phase the second dreadsteed came down. When you silenced Umbra it had already triggered the Deathrattles of the 3 Dreadsteeds that were summoned the previous turn, hence another 3 are summoned at the end of the turn where you silenced Umbra;)
Roffle, for the interaction around 26:30, they were able to summon the steeds before you silenced it. And the deathrattle effect happens at the end of turn. So even tho you silenced it, it still made the 3 steeds' deathrattles go off and thus summoned 3 more at the end of turn
So Dreadsteed effect happens at the end of the turn, the opponent had 3 on board and an Umbra. They killed the 3 dreadsteeds, which means at the end of their turn they got re summoned. They got re-summoned which means Umbra effect went off and activated their deathrattles. Because of that, at the end of your turn they got re summoned by the effect that happened at the end of the opponent's turn.
hey Roffle just a question for you because I cant make many streams, what percent of games that you play on stream make it into your youtube videos? Im just curious how many times you have to edit out a blowout from aggro druid. Also I love this video because hunter is my favorite class and it doesnt see much play. Thanks for the great content!
Relating to the silence in the last game - The Dreadsteed's got resummoned at the end of the opponents turn, and their Umbra triggered their deathrattles which says to summon Dreadsteed at the end of the turn. Because of strange interactions of end of turn effects summoning minions with end of turn effects, they "summon Dreadsteed" effect happened at the end of your turn rather than their turn. Silencing the Umbra then prevented these new extra ones summoned from triggering their deathrattles
The extra deathrattles got carried over to the next round due to Umbra triggering a deathrattle that itself triggers 'at the end of turn'. It triggered the deathrattle, which then triggered at the end of the next turn. Confusing, but yeah, working as intended.
When the dreadsteads came back their deathrattle was triggered, which made them come back at the start of the next turn, which pretty much double the amount of dreadsteads.
Not a 100% on dreadstead theory here but I believe because the dreadsteeds at the end of the one turn didn't prox the deathrattle was delayed to the end of your turn cause they go by player turn basis like grull
Idk if someone explained it yet but here i go. The deathrattle says "at the end of the turn" therefore it is triggered before the end of the turn after that you silenced the deathrattle activator but it has already been activated as i said. That's why you see the steeds summoned when you press the end of the turn button
I understand you want to have fun playing hs, I also understand you like to win playing meme decks ( which is absolutely fine as I too find that extremely satisfying), what I fail to understand what kinda fun you have playing against rank five noobs? I would request you to play these fun decks at legend rank. Cheers
You often say "passing on turn one" when it comes to quest decks. What is your thoughts on playing the quest on later turns, especially in decks with plenty of activators for quest ticks, when you might just have spare Mana that would otherwise be left floating?
You want the quest reward as soon as possible or it'll just be dead card in your hand so no probably not. You would be more likely to mulligan the quest than to not play it turn one
The only class I've found that benefits from this is Rogue due to Combo being a thing. Other classes suffer due to the quest taking up a spot in the mulligan.
Did I just saw a hunter version of survival of the fittest clowns? Edit: I am not interested for dat long XXX gameplay, but I still smack dat like button before I leave this place just because I want to like this kind of creativity.
