    You are so in your element when you get new material to use for your bait making. It is great to see your emotions and your mind spinning to figure out what to use this with and what use that with and what new bait you can create. Have fun, and we can't wait to see your wizardry take off. Be blessed. My friend.

    Great video I use a lot of lure works stuff. And while I haven't got any of the crushed rupees yet I mostly use Alpha pigments diamond and 8bit. And since Michael and Tommy are both awesome friends of mine I almost always try to incorporate a pigment from each of them in my colorways.

    Adam, you always do such a great job buddy! Just wanted to let you know that I'm taking a little break from TH-cam for a while. I keep up with over a hundred channels with complete loyalty to their content and have been doing this for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, maintaining my support has completely wore me down. Not leaving, but my reply times will be much slower for a while. Appreciate you buddy! Keep up the great work!

    I can definitely see the difference. I can see where one would look better in one bait, and not the other. What might look great in a swimbait, might not look so good in a worm or a small creature bait. Having different options is a good thing. Great video.

    From the very first color I thought man what a difference a subtle change of flake size makes! The way they separate and suspend in the bait makes for a lot more reflectivity. If you want the flash the rupee is the winner.

    I would have a hard time not combining both all the time. 3/4 diamond pearl in the violet and 1/4 crushed rupees in the blue seems like it would make an amazing bluegill imitator!

    Great work. I'm looking at purchasing my first gallon of Baitplastics Plastisol and I don't see any explanation on their site about buoyancy. Does 242 float? I want a gallon of both floating and sinking blend. Floating for dropshot worms and sinking for craw baits.

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. BP (at least the 242 that I use, not sure about the other blends) is neutrally buoyant, so it doesn't "float" in that it doesn't "pull up" in the water column, but it doesn't sink like a rock either. A drop shot will actually suspend very nicely, as will a shaky head worm (stands up, but isn't "stiff" like a ZMAN that floats hard). Given enough time, assuming no current, the baits will eventually sink/fall, but in my experience, that's longer than I'm fishing in 1 spot... I've already moved the bait and re-started the process. I'm assuming higher resin count blends (262+) will sink faster and softer blends with less resin (142) will suspend longer, but to my knowledge, they don't carry a sinking blend vs a floating blend. Hope this helps!

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Scott! I think the difference is pretty small isn’t it - within $2 or so? It’s been a while since I looked at either but I’m thinking it’s like $13 vs $15. If so, absolutely worth it, if nothing else just for the additional option, should you want some extra flash/brighter look 👍

    I have a question. I built the fluid beds and the jig racks but when I color them they still look rough not smooth like when you buy them. What am I doing wrong?

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sounds like either you’re not heating the head enough before dipping, your temp is too low in the toaster, or there’s something with the paint itself. Some paint is designed with a “matte” finish that will be rough - I’m assuming you’re not using those when I mentioned the other solutions.
